  • Something Drew Me to Him

The fact that me and my boyfriend ever got together was something unimaginable to anyone who knew us, including us. We knew each other for years and for some reason I decided to start talking to him a lot last year. It was a strange feeling that made me feel like I needed to get close to this person I didn't know too well. Something drew me to him.

We became close friends and instantly everything felt right. I've never felt a stronger bond with someone so fast. I tried so hard to convince myself that we were just friends, but I kept seeing signs. The reason I ended up telling him my feelings was because of the final sign that pushed me past my fear. I was watching TV with my mom and on the show "So You Think You Can Dance" they did a dance to the song "If It Kills Me", a song about a guy who desperately wants to tell his best friend he loves her but can't do it and regrets it.

When I told him everything felt more perfect than I can describe and there has never been a time when I have doubted my feelings for him. So many things have kept pulling us together and showing us how right we are together. No one has ever been able to recognize what song I play when I tap my leg, but the other night...he finished the song on HIS leg without saying a word. We had the same dream about marrying other people and feeling like we made the biggest mistakes of our lives.

It's funny how life gives us sign, that at some points in our life we choose to ignore. I would advise everyone to listen to your heart and the signs fate gives you because it's made me happier than I can describe (trust me I know how corny this all sounds). Do you think fate can bring two people together?

that's what sort of happened with my current bf. we'd been "i swear we're just friends" for like 5 years, then 2 years ago all a sudden it was like we couldnt get enough of each other. we kissed. its been awesome since.

I guess I don't exactly know what to believe. I've experienced a strong connection to someone, as if they were somehow drawing me in. Closer and closer. I feel an attraction towards him unlike anything else I've ever experienced. And I still don't know why that is... It's hard to explain.

  • beachblondie711@xanga

absolutely. I think fate brought my boyfriend and I together. In fact, it drew him all the way to Ohio - from Texas.

We met at a wedding. His best friend marrying mine. He was in the army, stationed in Kentucky at the time. He was about to get out and return to Texas. Nothing about this should have worked out... but it did. Effortlessly. I couldn't have stopped it if i tried. He now lives just down the street. People think he's crazy for coming all this way for me. But I don't. Because I know how he feels :]

love gives you a sinking feeling. you just know and get drawn to someone, and it's amazing.

I hope you find what you are looking for.

lol everything goes right for me when im single.... everything. but i know i am in the right realtionship because i gotta fight everything but him to make it work. cars breaking down, being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and yet both of us seeing our bad sides has made us both better people, i think we still gotta little bit to kink out but its been 2 years together now, fighting the elements, and if i didnt have him i would not be the person i am now

  • emptypersonas@xanga

    Yes.

But fate has other things instore for people too.

  • anonymiaous@xanga

Fate can bring me to find a random McDonalds even while I'm completely lost.
    Now that's fate.

  • frzndreams951@xanga

@anonymiaous@xanga - Fate doesn't want you to go hungry of course. ;p

As for the post... I think it's true. My current boyfriend and I have a long story as to how we ended up where we are today, but we thought it was fate too. (:
  • Parsimony@xanga

Fate is a combination of chance and choices so yes, I do believe it.

However with signs, they can be overlooked or misinterpreted unless you understand them.  I would think through with your heart and mind before you consider your actions.

I've dreamt about a person I've never met only because I found out about him earlier and thought about him a lot.  I dreamt about another but not in a good way.  I haven't met either but are my perceptions right?  Intuition or impression?

Sometimes, the person you have little contact with is the person you respect more as opposed to those you have a lot of contact with.

Fate is a funny thing! It can surprise you somehow. Just when you thought your world is ending, turning upside-down, it'll put a special person into your life who'll guide you through the darkness when you were lost, who'll cheer you up when you're in despair. :))

  • ilovepostits@xanga

Absolutely. I feel the same with my boyfriend. He's everything. Yay for both of us! :)

  • AnnaAnanas@xanga

I like to believe there are couples who are meant to be in different ways. There are those who make their own fate, and then there are those like you and your boyfriend who are undoubtedly fated to be together. :) But that song-tapping connection--absolutely brilliant! I love it! <3 I can see that becoming a very cute scene in a movie... Hmmm... Mind if I steal it for my next film project if I end up shooting a romance? :P

Jake and I went to Elementary School and rode the same morning school bus.

We went all through Elementary and Middle School without really knowing much
about each other. Our School consisted of about 1,500 students (K-12) so it
was easy for people to know of each other. In High School, We started
talking more often but as friends. He always had a Girlfriend and I was
way too shy to confess my crush to him. He was a bit of a heart breaker
in HS so I watched on the sidelines as he dated Girl after Girl. My
jealously towards these girls was unimaginable.

Junior Year - I had just ended a terrible relationship that I had been in for about 6
months. One Summer night, Jake and I randomly hung out in my alley with
a few friends. We sat on the hood of a car, talked, looked at the
stars. I could not have asked for anything better.. when the night was
done and over with he tried to kiss me. I freaked and rejected him. He
thought that I didn't like him, I was pissed that I didn't kiss him
back. Things were awkward so we didn't really talk anymore. Senior year came and nothing ever happened between us.

    I graduated June 1, 2007.

After graduation I went through a few relationships.. They treated me badly
and I was far from happy. I had finally decided that I was going to
come out of my shell and I was determined that I was going to get the
guy I wanted. I called him and we started hanging out every night for
    about two weeks.

    Started dating January 21, 2008..
Come to find out he had always liked me.
    He graduated May 30, 2008.
He proposed on December 19, 2008.
We just celebrated our 2 Year Anniversary.
and We are getting married October 10, 2010!

It was just meant to be!

Fate drew my bf all the way from Germany to a little town in Mexico :D.
Its an extremely funny story bc his dad (german) met his ex wife (mexican) while he was working in Russia and she was studying abroad. Then they moved to my hometown and a few years later he brought my bf to live with them (my bf's mom still lives in Germany).
My bf and I were at the same high school but never talked to each other (he was a junior and I was a senior). 4 years after my graduation I was going thru a horrible break up and a mutual friend introduced us. We've ben inseparable ever since.

  • The_Aftershock_3650@xanga

I found out recently that the girl I had always liked but figured only saw me as a best friend... likes me back.

    Couldn't be happier :)

I absolutely believe that fate can bring people together. In fact, my entire blog (under this username) is about a recent reunion with a boy I dated 15 years ago. :)

Back then, I was 13 and he was almost 17. I broke up with him because, in spite of my maturity at a young age, I just couldn't see entering high school as he exited, entering college as he graduated, and somehow still staying together. We met again purely by chance -- via Facebook, of all things -- and have developed an extraordinary relationship. Some of it was leftover feelings from our childhood romance, and the rest is all new.

We believe that fate allowed us to cross paths for a second time, and we are more in love with one another than we've ever been with anyone else. Also, we're planning to marry on 9/10/11. :)

I don't know if I believe in fate..I think I believe more in God. And I know everyone hates that religious fanatic who makes everything about God or the Bible...I'm seriously not one of those people. It's just more comforting to me to think that instead of this mysterious thing we deem as "fate" that there is actually someone who has engineered a plan for us.

  • xjadersx@xanga

I got you. I just listened to my heart and it feels good.

I think I believe in fate.. I'm not really sure.

  • JennyGee@xanga

@PeacefulTransitions@xanga - i'm with you on this.  sometimes fate's so ridiculous...feels like it must be intentional, like there's a grand plan.  my bf thinks so, too.

my guy and i met in a bar (of all places!!  neither of us are drinkers or partiers AT ALL!) when i was down visiting a friend at his university.  which i only do about twice a year.  and my friend and his friend had a class together, so we all started talking.  it's so scary to think it might not have happened!! :-O

  • FlyAway180@xanga

I feel that EXACT same thing, almost... except I'm not with that person. :(

  • elizabethmia_scenoemo@xanga

What if its pulling you toward two people?
