Here is what happened...
So we went out, and I suggested we go see "Princess and the Frog". For those who saw it, you know its kind of a tear-jerker, even for dudes. But anyway after the movie, (she really really liked it tearing and all) she kept saying how she wanted a "prince" like that. And we were teasing with each other like there are not any princes or princesses that are worthy out there any more. She was really really cold and I thought to myself. YES! I got her a scarf and hat and Teddy bear, I should be good!
We went out for some drinks with one our mutual friends (her coworker) and she drank a little too much. So I brought her back to our friends house were she had to sleep. I did not want to give it to her when she was tipsy soooo.. I put the teddy bear in her arms when she was sleeping and I left her to sleep.
This morning she messaged me, saying that she was sorry she got so drunk and that the scarf and teddy bear was "literally the cutest thing she has ever seen, and she loves him..." She also continued that I was so sweet... We had a very good time in the night, dancing and she smiled, she bought me drinks, I bought her drinks, it was an overall good time.
Now the real question is... What do I do next?

I completely misread this sentence at first: "I did not want to give it to her when she was tipsy..." I was, of course, thinking of something else.

she totally broke a first date rule, "one or two drinks is ok, but do not get drunk"...I can totally understand that having some alcoholic beverages can make things flow easier, but at the end of the day, if your date is going to get drunk and sleep it off without having a proper "good night" on the first date, it reveals a little too much. but if you dont' think that was a problem, ask her on a 2nd date--something active or "different" than the standard date.
Demand she make you a pie.
I love that you put the bear in her arms while she was sleeping that was sweet . What do you do next? Maybe call her for suggestions on what to do next time

I just suggest that inviting her places is alright, but don't buy her so many things so often (it could be that she'll start to expect those gifts more and more frequently)

how about taking her ice skating? girls seem to like that, if she can't skate and you can, you can get her to hold on to your hand.

usually, you follow a good first date with a second date. you've done the movie thing, so try some activity that allows you to talk (and maybe continue drinking).
