I Know the Phone is Terrible, But at Least E-Mail Properly
What is a guy supposed to do? I understand the gravity of a phone call, it is so tedious, heck, I don't even like them but I try and I try to be clever and thoughtful but that usually gets messed up. Forget calling, I don't want to call anyway I am always cutting someone off or speaking at the same time and I can't even see there face for the true meaning. How about e-mail...You can compose your thoughts and make known what it is you want to say and then break that down into clear concise words.
Nope, your two lines make what I wrote look like Shakespeare and you didn't even answer a single question back. Just vagueness and junk like "oh we will have to set something up." To be clear ladies if you are vague we as men are gone, why would we even linger for a moment with a person who can neither articulate or reciprocate a simple platitude. So I bail and look for something else.
Here is where it gets interesting. I say forget it and don't waste my time assuming that you (women who respond like that) are not interested. Phone calls stop, e-mails stop heck I won't even waste a text. Then, you find a way to contact me or a friend of mine to ask what happened. Are you kidding? What happened? I tell you what happened you...(I got the hint you weren't interested) I didn't think it mattered because of your lukewarm reception to my "hey I had a good time last night," attempted statement that hey I really would like to see you again.
Well maybe I am the one who is crazy, maybe I am the one who is a jerk?

omg I know exactly what you mean. But I've thought that was more of a guy thing to do than a girl thing to do.
I absolutely hate writing a huge letter/email and getting one or two vague lines back. It's infuriating.
To an extent i do agree. It annoys me to no end when one seems to pour their soul out and/or simply takes the time to write something elaborate and with thoughts laid out on the line, to get answers composed of a measly few linked syllables. However, in general, communication works both ways.

@crystaldurden@xanga - and yea i agree usually in the "norm" the gender roles are reversed in this scenario
maybe she doesn't want to waste time either and doesn't see the relationship as anything more than platonic, only the occasional-what's up? to ask when they are bored. if I'm interested in the guy, I'll stalk him, and if I avoid him, then I'm just not that interested and don't want to lead him on by being flirty.
oh actually, apparently girls love the attention, but don't want to show it. but when they lose it they want it back. happens to a lot of guys i know. idk if i do it myself, but that's my analysis.
or how about getting no response at all?? haha sigh. :)
i hardly check my e-mails, so what's the use? better use skype.
My best friend does the same thing to me. He'll give me ONE WORD in response to three paragraphs. So I do the same thing to him, sometimes. ;)
But anyone else, I try to respond with the same length as their query. And I'm OCD about answering questions. I can't leave one unanswered.

Yes, the great juxtaposition of the hunt I love the challenge as long as the games don't become too borish.
I have the same problem, but I also have moments with my SO when he talks as much if not more then I do, I think you should just keep trying like you are, no point in waiting for a girl who isn't waiting for you. Lots of Girls out there who want a guy who knows how to say things.
Also if people ask what happened just say, oh it fell apart.
I like talking on the phone when I haven't talked to someone in a long time and we're really comfortable having a conversation.
I also like it when i have something to explain and I don't feel like sending a 20 page text.
I prefer everything to be done face to face, especially in the beginning.
there are a lot of women who don't know how to flirt or how to play "hard to get." sometimes you even have to tell the guy that you're playing hard to get [if thats what you're doing].

I love talking on the phone. And I've dated guys in the past who loved it to. My ex and I would talk for hours and never get bored.
Then again, my first boyfriend and I would talk for hours and never get bored; but online. We'd talk on the phone for a little each night, but we communicated better online. Maybe it's just different for everyone.
Maybe the girl was shy or something, but I know that I would personally love getting long emails - especially if your lines look like something Shakespeare wrote! Don't worry too much about whether or not you were a jerk. If she thinks that, after you took time to write her, then her opinion probably doesn't count. One day you'll meet a girl who can probably keep up with your emails, and she won't think you are a jerk at all.
Hehe.
I tend to start up multiple conversations in texts/emails so that by the end we're having like 3 different conversations that are supposed to fit in the same message box. XP
