  • The Hottest Guys in History

    I was reading a post asking Xangians if they considered John Mayer hot or not.  This post inspired me to find out which men (celebrities and well knows personas) are listed as being the "hottest men" in history.   While I've compiled my own list along the years, according to one website, the following guys (in this order) are listed:

    Johnny Depp (46) - American actor and musician, best known for playing wild and eccentric characters on film such as Jack Sparrow in The Pirates of the Caribbean.

     

      James Dean (died aged 24) - American actor who gained iconic status especially amongst youth.  He's best known for his starring role as a troubled youth in Rebel Without a Cause.  

     

    David Beckham (34) - English footballer who started his professional career with Manchester United.  He forms part of the English National team, however his fame is not exclusive to football.  He gained celebrity status partly because of his marriage to Victoria (ex Posh Spice).  In 2002 he was hailed as the ultimate "metrosexual."

      


    Gary Dourdan (43) - American actor best known for playing the role of Warrick Brown on CSI.  Dourdan is also an alternative musician and record producer.

     

    Marlon Brando (died aged 80) - American actor whose career spanned over 50 years.  In his youth he was considered one of Hollywood's sex symbol and best known for his role as Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire.  In his middle age he became famous for his outstanding performance as Vito Corleone in The Godfather, amongst others. 

      Gael Garcia Bernal (31) - Mexican actor and director who began his acting career as a child.  At 14, he starred in the soap opera El abuelo y yo and became an instant heartthrob.  He has since acted in six Oscar nominated films including Babel. 

      Elvis Presley (died aged 42) - American musician and actor.  Elvis, who started from humble beginnings is famous for launching the 'Rock and Roll Revolution' and redefining popular music.  He's often referred to as the "King of Rock and Roll" or simply "King."    He went on to become a cultural icon (and sex symbol) during his life time and after his death.

    Another website lists the 10 hottest leading male actors in Hollywood as being:

    2. Tom Cruise
    3. Hugh Jackman
    4. Johnny Depp
    5. Leonardo DiCaprio
    6. Will Smith
    7. Denzel Washington
    8. George Clooney
    9. Pierce Brosnan
    10. Matt Damon

     

    That's quite a list.  Now here is my all-time 'list of ten' male celebrities in no particular order:

    1. Russell Crowe
    2. Sean Connery
    3. Pierce Brosman
    4. Naveen Andrews
    5. Harrison Ford
    6. Johnny Depp
    7. Jude Law
    8. Patrick Dempsey
    9. Richard Gere
    10. Dennis Quaid

    Who would you include in your list of hot men?  Would you include any of the above?  And have any of your boyfriends resembled these men?
