What's Your Favorite LOVE Song?
It's a known fact - everybody wants to be loved, don't they? But what exactly is LOVE? In the musical world, the concept of love has been the basis of many a song. The feelings love evokes have been compared to many things and described in numerous ways. According to these artists love is this:
Love is a many splendored thing - The Four Aces (1955)
Love is Blue - Paul Mauriat (1967)
Love is a Drug - Roxy Music (1975)
Love is in the Air - John Paul Young (1978)
Love is a Stranger - Eurythmics (1982)
Love is a Battlefield - Pat Benator (1984)
Love is all around - Wet Wet Wet (1994)
Love is Noise - The Verve (2008)
Over the years, other renowned musicians have had this to say about love:
Love comes without warning - America
Love can move mountains - Celine Dion
Love changes everything - Michael Ball
Love don't cost anything - Jennifer Lopez
Love takes time - Mariah Carey
And on a more positive note (no pun intended) and corny as it may sound these artistes claim that:
Love will conquer all - Lionel Richie
Love will always win - Faith Hall
Love will find a way - Christina Aguilera
With so many people playing the Love Game (my song post for today by great Lady Gaga ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocwZU89NPi4 , I have this to ask:
If you had to describe Love in one just word - what would it be? What's your favorite Love Song of all time?

the greatest love song of all time is simple, i want to hold your hand - the beatles. not because is spoke of extrodinary out of this world once in a million years love. not because it was about hot passion, or grand gestures. but because it is about what everyone is feeling and has felt. the most basic and pleasent of urges. to want to hold his hand.
also amazing is "then" and "she's everything" both by brad paisley
@belldingding@xanga - hear hear (on The Beatles, I'm not a country fan)
I would have to choose "Song of Solomon"! God bless, ~ Pete
"I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine..." Song of Solomon 6:3
"Goodbye My Friend" By James Blunt- It's just such a sad and tragic song about love..
"Hey, Soul Sister" By Train- IT's a new song by them that was on the last CSI:NY episode and it's just so uplifting and addicting!
I have many favorite love songs :)
Though my personal favorite is harder.
From personal experience with pain though, I'll go with the old expression "You don't know what you got till it's gone" and choose (not that song) but "How's it Gonna Be" by my favorite band, Third Eye Blind. No song has ever captured the mood of heartbreak better to me, and it's in heartbreak you realize everything a relationship had once meant to you.
A little somber, yeah. But what are you going to do.
Also, Jason Mraz's "Beautiful Mess" has really grown on me.
