I know it's been a trend for the past year or so but I can't quite get use to the idea of guys in tight/skinny pants.
A quick note on why I can't stand men in tight/skinny pants. I was on a train one day and this guy with really tight pants stood right in front of me. I mean, his pants were so tight I knew which way his package rested. Well with him standing and me sitting, the sway of the manic train caused me to avert my head the whole 40 minutes of my commute to avoid being mouth fucked by this guy.
Anyway, back to the story; my friend "G" wanted me to hook her guy friend up with one of my girlfriend. I was open to the idea and of course we did all the stats swap to make sure they would even like each other. I showed my friend a group shot and asked on the sly if she thought that guy was cute and she did. My other friend did the same thing and he was game too. So we all decided to meet up in a group at a bar so it would be less awkward.
The minute he walked in, I knew we had a deal breaker. He was wearing tight skinny jeans.
She leaned over to me and whispered "my god, his pants are tighter than mine and I can see eveything...ungh". Now my girl friend's style and taste is pretty much the same as mine so she started to lose interest. It's her preference and she doesn't want to try to change his wardrobe either. We all just hung out, had a great time and called it a night. Later that week, "G" got in touch with me and asked me what did my friend think and I told her there's no spark and that she wasn't attracted to him. When "G" kept asking why not and told me her guy friend really liked my girl friend, I folded and told her the truth. "G" then thought my friend was so shallow as to not look over the way someone dresses but I tried to explain that in a way it's better that she doesn't go out with him with the intent on changing or dictating how he should dress. It's just like how my guy friend can't stand when a girl has camel toe action.
With that said, what trend or style (clothing wise) would be an instant turn off for you if you saw someone wearing them?

I think skinny jeans aren't that appealing but it can be hot depending on who is wearing it. it is a good way to check out his package
girls wear tight shirts to show their goods, so if the guy got it, flaunt it
I'd prefer if the guy wasn't as skinny as me and has a hot body to wear something like that. I don't like super buff guys or skinnier than me. instant turn off is if he looks like the jersey shore guys.
Depends on the guy.
i personally love skinny jeans on a guy<3 haha.hmm, an instant turn off for me would be if he was insanely buff.
I really dislike skinny jeans. Even on most girls, they look stupid. SOME girls can pull them off, but usually only the ones who have body types to match the name of the jeans.
For the past year or so?
Skinnies have been in style since 2003, the better half of the entire decade.
Skinnies are the shit. I think guys can pull 'em off if they're not ridiculously tight, and girls look great in 'em as well.
it is kind of dumb that she's not attracted to him based soley on his skinny jeans. I mean, what about the rest of his aesthetics? Does he wear skinnies 24/7, or does he switch things up? What about the all important personality factor? If she had fun, could she not at least explore the possiblity a bit more, instead of ditching the idea simply because of a pair of pants?
I understand being turned off by something, but to let one turnoff on one date snuff the possibility of anything out, well, that IS kind of shallow.
As for things instantly being a turn off, nada. It depends on the girl wearing what she's wearing. Some people make shit flow, others dont.
Popped collars and pink shirts on guys bug me. I automatically think "Douchebag!" and run the other way.
Baggy sweaters on girls turns me off. Hate to say it, but it makes me think they're hiding something.
this is so silly.
I think that clothing says A LOT about a person. It doesn't just show what someone can afford (which is sometimes the case and is a factor I personally ignore), it shows how someone wants to present themselves to the world. Whether someone says "fuck societal regulations" or feels the need to assimilate into popular culture. It shows with who they associate and many times it says why. I'm a person who will openly admit that i will "pre-judge" someone. But I don't mean it in ANY negative way, its just seeing different personality traits. Like noticing someone curses, shows they may not be religious. I also make sure never to write someone off because of outward appearance or behavior. So i agree and disagree in certain ways with you and your friend. I think I'm pretty middle of the road on the issue. I won't wrtie someone off because of clothing, but because of character traits that might be noticed by looking at someone's clothing (like ghetto boy baggy jeans make me cringe and I vow never to date another wannabe looking thug)
heh. i like that i can see everything. ;)
i think almost any style can look good as long as the wearer looks good. hot boy is skinny jeans? nom nom nom. yes, please.
Tattoos, giant sunglasses and facial piercings are an instant turnoff for me. Dressing really gothic/emo, really slutty or much younger than your age are huge turnoffs, as well.
@Isodomic@xanga - I love baggy sweaters with leggings! They're really big for prep school kids, especially in the northeast.
I call it the "Preppy College Girl Winter Classic" or aka "I'm probably a huge bitch".
Long, puffy Northface jacket.
Those fucking hideous goddamn leggings. Shit these are almost as bad as leg warmers.
And of course, UGGs.
Oh and ANYTHING Hello Kitty should be left for those it's made for, you know, CHILDREN.
Let me just say, UGGs are fine... as long as you pull the jeans OVER the boot. Seriously, you look like a fucking 2 year old who still doesn't know how the hell to dress themselves.
I would much rather see a guy in skinny jeans than in very baggy jeans. Baggy jeans are the worst!
... Or when their jeans are pulled up too high. So aggravating!
I like skinny jeans...as long as they're not toooooooo tight.
@mcmeister89@mancouch - hehe...then you'd really hate South Korea. It's your entire list.
Skinny jeans. Very few guys can wear them and pull it off.
Same goes for guys in v-necks.
I want a manly-man. :P
Skinny jeans on a guy are kinda like a HELL NO for me, because 1) I don't want to see your junk and 2) i don't want to see how skinny your legs are. It's just sick. I also hate beanies, (they make you look like a hobo/mugger,) and gauged ears. They're just gross.
i hatehatehate guys who don't take care of their hair. -100 pts. if it's long and greasy. ugh.
hair is a big deal. :P
I'm not a big fan of guys in shorts.
Skinny jeans are way hotter than shorts.
At any length.
my boyfriend wears skinnies and they're sooo hot. i dont care what you guys say xD
i have to agree, i'm not a big fan of guys in skinny jeans...although skinny shorts are just disgusting!
i think it depends on the guy's body type, and exactly how tight the jeans are.
skin-tight, painted-on skinny jeans are definitely a no, but i think ones that leave a little bit of breathing room are hot. in my opinion, skinny jeans only look good on skinnyish boys.
Unless it's David Lee Roth in his late twenties, tight jeans on guys = fuck no. And while I'm being a shallow asshole here, I might as well add that I also avoid any guy that wears any type of shirt with a bunch of designs on it like tattoo flash art or the "pre-faded" look. Seriously.
@Isodomic@xanga - Really? Wow... I never knew. I always buy the XXL sweatshirts, I just love the extra room :) @TheRealMelanie@xanga - Yeah, men in shorts that are above the knee get a raised eyebrow from me. And not in a good way! @flawsnall@xanga - Or when their jeans are pulled down too low! I have no desire to know what type of underwear you're wearing!!
