The Tiger Woods drama is obviously all the media can talk about lately. From Rachel Uchitel to Cori Rist, most everyone in America knows their names. In an article on
Examiner.com, they say this about Jaimee Grubbs, the Vegas cocktail waitress: "(she had) apparently had at least two other men involved in her life at some point."
Why is that an article-worthy principle? Did they expect that she had just waited her entire life to be the mistress of a famous golfer?
Especially since she had been on VH1's
Tool Academy with then-boyfriend, Shawn Southern, she was obviously not celibate. And she was obviously not the only woman in his life, so why should she be expected to only ever be with him? The Examiner also captions her picture with the statement "Jaimee Grubbs has a complicated history." I'm not sure I'd consider dating a tool or sending naughty pictures to a boyfriend "complicated," I'm pretty sure that's inherent in the Woods situation.
What do you think? Is it important for the media to note that Woods wasn't the only man in these women's lives, or are they just grasping at straws to keep it in the headlines? Are you sick of hearing about these ten women yet? (

I'm sick of the slut-shaming route the media was obviously going to take with these women (because if you aren't dragging a woman's reputation through the mud, then what's the point, right media?)

I'm not surprised that they were promiscuous. these women will probably sleep with any rich and famous celebrity hoping to hit their big break and strike it rich. it is like sleeping with the boss to get promoted. one of the women actually shamelessly appeared on the extra tv show because they likely paid her to talk. they sleep with him so one day they might have worldwide fame and even if it is a shameful type of fame for being a mistress, they don't care, it is still fame since they could get money from interviews, book deals or star in some scandalous sex rehab show. if it was a mistake, it wouldn't be multiple affairs. he was a greedy tiger. he should've remained a bachelor like george clooney if he wants to play
If all boys and girls would simply grow up to be men and women I suppose the media would have much less to talk about. No sex scandals anywhere. Everyone would be monogamous or live entirely without sex.

It isn't important in the slightest. Then again, I really don't think this entire issue ought to be important. The real reason that its such a shock and that its such a hot topic right now isn't truly just because Tiger Woods had ten affairs (that we know about), but rather instead that it was Tiger Woods that did it. He fooled a lot of people by looking and acting like a genuine nice guy. But, in the end he is just another celebrity with an affinity for cheating on his wife with pretty women.
I think that he made his bed, though, and now he has to lie in it. No pun intended.
But, I also think these women are all gold-diggers and fame-whores, attention seekers. So, really, I don't think they're that worthy of having anybody feel sorry for them, either. Whether they had a lot of boyfriends, just a few boyfriends, or no boyfriends before hooking up with Tiger Woods, they're still gold-diggers, fame-whores and attention-seekers now. And they're making money from it. And if they aren't, yet, they will be. Not women worthy of praise or of sympathy.
And Tiger Woods certainly isn't worthy of it, either.
