My Inappropriate Crush of the Week
I kind of have a crush on Jedward. Yes. John and Edward: The twins from The X-factor. Shocking.
I know, I know, I’m probably old enough to be their mother (I’m 5 years older than them… that counts as a whole generation in my native Swansea! haha) and I’m definitely old enough to know better.
But I just can’t get enough of cocky guys with funny hair and questionable taste in trousers… Probably why all the boys I fancied at school turned out to be gay.
It’s the ‘boyband type’ that are my weakness. Mass exaggeration. The ‘boy band’ type are my fatal flaw; an obsession that will inevitably lead to my timeless death by cheesy music. So when I turned on the TV a few months back to discover these two blond lovelies singing classic Backstreet Boys songs and infectiously grinning away like they were High School Musical extras, it was love at first sight.
It didn’t matter that they were tone deaf or that they had hair like my aunty. All that mattered was that they were fun, and that there was two of them! Score!
Since then Jedward have totally made me reassess life and wonder: Why don’t all fun things come in twos? Imagine how much better New Moon would have been if there were TWO Edwards and TWO Jacobs to gawp at. How much better would life be if there were TWO Christmases a year? TWO Summer holidays! TWO weekends a week!
Now I see a hot guy walking down the street and think “Oh but there’s only one of you! Shame! Why can’t all boys have twins!?” One hot guy just isn’t enough anymore, and probably never will be again.
Yes, the boyband types have been ruining my life since 1996 and continue to do so even now that I'm in my 20s.
So, who are your inappropriate crushes of the moment? Please make me feel better about mine!

I wouldn't say this is a crush of the week, but I've had a long time crush on Alex Pettyfer *drools* and I'm like 5 years older than him, haha. I think he's 18/19-ish.

These boys are too pretty...I like my inappropriate crushes to be grizzly and chiseled, rough and tumble looking and whatnot. I'm bizarrely terrified that Johnny and Angelina Jolie are set to film a new chock-full-of-sex-scenes movie and she'll steal him just like she stole Brad! (I don't really see what all the fuss is about that chick but apparently people love her) (also I don't know why I'm "terrified" since he's taken already...)
