I Got Denied!
Q. My boyfriend and I were supposed to hang out today but things came up and he had to cancel. However, he didn't call or text me to tell me that plans had been canceled. I text him to let him know that I was not happy about it. I also told him to make it up to me that perhaps after I was done work we could have a little night cap...well I got DENIED. He text me back and told me that he was going to bed and that he was tired. I'm sorry but I got upset. I mean that's never happened before. I've never gotten rejected from sex. Does that mean that he doesn't find me attractive anymore? Does he not want me any more? Is he too used to me? Ladies, has this ever happened to you and if so, how did you feel about it? Guys, have you ever turned your lady down and if so why?
A. He's the only one who knows the reason to these questions. You'll have to talk to him to find out. But I will say that his actions were outright rude--no matter how long you've been dating he should let you know if he needs to cancel. You have every right to be upset. But in order to get to the bottom of this, you need to talk to him about it. Let him know what your boundaries are in terms of your relationship and specifically discuss how you felt getting stood up.
