Men Are Like Peacocks
I recently stumbled across a picture of a male peacock strutting it's stuff in front of an unsuspecting female. It actually made me laugh out loud because it reminded me of men in general. It's funny to me how some guys will go so far as to impress a girl he's interested in. Of course that doesn't go for every guy out there, some guys have more confidence and don't feel the need to project as much as others and in some cases the girls are the ones out there making themselves look ridiculous in order to get someone's attention. But nevertheless, I still think that this is kind of funny.
(Below: I took this at the zoo and I figured I'd add it in here just because I think it's awesome. =p )
What kind of crazy things have you done to impress someone? Did it work?

I haven't done much. The most I did was give a girl a jacket to wear even though I only had a tshirt on. Wasn't really much to impress her, but just more out of kindness and she was cold.
that's why it's called a peacock. =P
oh dear. the list of things i've done. hahaha.
That one on the left isn't a female. Notice the blue neck.
@untainted_love_for_her@xanga - Huh, lol...good call. =p
@MsKittyCatty@xanga - Lol, thanks. :)
@XoAsianBabioX@xanga - haha, at least you're trying XD
@untainted_love_for_her@xanga - Well, maybe he just wanted some peacock. (HEY-O!)
I am glad to say, I have never had to do anything too extravagent to get the girl, I just be myself.
@laytexduckie@xanga - That's still really nice, most guys I know would let the girl freeze. A small suggestion though, don't give her the jacket, give her your arm/chest ;)
@BrookeFehr@xanga - Well, a little more than a week after that, we started dating. I would have, but we only met about half an hour before and it would just have been a little awkward.
@laytexduckie@xanga - Haha, good choice then. I think that's really sweet, and I'm happy the situation worked for you :D
@BrookeFehr@xanga - Well, it worked out for a bit. We recently broke up and the situation is a little confusing right now. But yeah, it doesn't change the fact that I'll do that again for someone else . . or even her if she comes back around.
@untainted_love_for_her@xanga - I was gonna say the same ...the colored birds are all peacocks/males.....the peafowl/peahen i believe is just brown...rather plain looking.
@untainted_love_for_her@xanga - then again the other bird's neck looks green so maybe it is a female.
lovely post.
i only felt like really trying peacock style once, and no it didn't work out for even a moment.
LOL omgosh i saw one last night!! ( a peacock that is! haha )
Maybe the bird in this picture is gay...projecting to another male? Idk, but I do know for sure that it doesn't matter, haha.
As for anything I've done to impress a girl: One time I tried to be funny and I picked up this girl and threw her over my shoulder at a party. Only I was pretty drunk and ran her right into a door frame, as you can guess she wasn't too impressed with me and she didn't think I was very funny. I never saw her again.
There's only been one time when I really tried to impress someone. I got this guy a gift that I knew he'd absolutely adore and told him I'd give it to him if he promised not to sell it on ebay. Yes he was impressed, and said he'd be crazy to sell it.
No I didn't give him the gift, haha. Before I could we got into a fight because he made wrong assumptions about me. He called me a liar (which is a quality I truly hate in people) because of gossip he heard from other people. We don't speak anymore. I kept the really cool gift. :)
Then his brother told mine to take it from me(so he could give it to the guy)...and my bro told me about it. Apparently this guy still really wanted it. Too bad.
Meh. Both men and women do the same thing, it's just on different levels. Men do it by who they appear to be or what they do, women do it by how sexy or at least sexually experienced and available they look.
stereotyping guys pisses the hell out me..
I tried so hard to impress this guy once that I totally lost myself in the 'process'
