When I was eight years old, I got my first pair of glasses--big red ones that took over my face. I was Steve Urkel and Sally Jesse Raphael rolled into one tiny child, the perfect target for bullets. None of the boys wanted anything to do with me. In eighth grade I got contacts, it changed everything.
Flash forward 10 years: There I am walking down a main road. A disabled, homeless man stops me. "You! You! In the glasses!" For unknown reasons, I stop. "Whoever said guys don't make passes at girls who wear glasses lied." Enter internal monologue: Oh really? Where are you going with this? Not only are you well over 50 years old, but you currently reside in a box outside Loews Movie Theater.
I guess I was getting validation for my Sally Jesse years.
Whats the worst pick up line you've heard? Was the person using the line just as bad?

I don't know how the men feel about women in glasses, but I LOVE guys in glasses. When they put them on, it's almost as good as donning a British accent...
Worst line I ever heard was, "You look just like Hilary Swank...Some people think she's *kind of disgusted sound with dismissive wave*, but I think she's hot..."
i had glasses since i entered elementary school. didn't get contacts until i was in college. haha. it's all good.Â
Tis true though, I get far more tips on Fridays and Saturdays at work when I wear my contacts.
Although I did have one creepy customer who asked for a pen and paper, and when he left I found out he had been drawing my eyes and glasses all over the page. *shudder*
One guy stopped me as I was walking through Wal*Mart when I was 17 with, "How are you, young lady?" When I said "Fine", he replied, "Oh, I can see that!"
My friend had the creepiest guy hit on her. She was wearing a skirt and tights and the guy had long dirty hair and looked completely creepy and said to her with a weird accent (seriously no idea where the accent is from) " Very nice leg"... which made us creepied out and laugh and wonder what leg he meant...
Girls with glasses can be cute. I hate wearing my glasses though, can't help but feel stupid looking while wearing them.
It seems like I get just as many compliments when wearing my glasses as contacts, actually (which isn't a lot, but still). When I'm in my contacts, I get guys saying things like "You have nice eyes by the way" but when I wear glasses, I find my glasses to be a conversation peice. They almost always say "Awesome glasses". I like mine. They are Vogue and gold framed and modern looking. I do get the feeling guys like girls without glasses better though anyway.

I've always thought that children with glasses present a perfect target for bullets. Not sure why people would want to shoot a child, though. Maybe that's a datingish thing?

i like glasses on guys and girls, personally. though i had the peach-colored version of the glasses you described in kindergarten and after a few years i "accidentally lost" them in the top drawer of my dresser so mom would take me to buy some new ones. which, in retrospect, weren't much better.
worst pick-up line? well, i worked at a hardware store so it's tough to choose. i guess i'll go with the time a guy told me he was going to steal the pen i loaned him to write his check so i'd have to track him down and then he'd take me dancing and out to dinner and we could "get to know each other". i said no and took the pen back, but he wasn't done. he gave it one more try with, "if you give me that pen back i'll write down my phone number for you". he was easily in his 50s and i was in my early 20s (but i always look younger than my age). ugh.

I am male by the way. I wear glasses (I would find putting in contact lens quite hard, and I got bully for wearing them at school.
I think female who wear glasses look sexy. I am happy wearing glasses but sometimes wished I did not have to wear them.
I absolutely adore girls with glasses because they don't care about the world's opinions and plus I think they look very cute in them. Just do what makes you comfortable. There are probably others out there who love a girl in glasses.
