Asian Dating Double Standard?
I think it is considered “normal” for an Asian girl not to be attracted to Asian guys. But what about the other way round? Almost all other Asian guys I know only want to date Asian girls exclusively.Only Asian girls seem to like me. Mostly Filipina girls. Probably because I am Filipino, but I am not interested in them. Asian girls are nice to be friends with, but I am just not attracted to their features. I have given Asian girls a chance. I have dated some Vietnamese girls before. But I lost interest really quickly and they couldn't turn me on at all. I just can't seem to see myself with an Asian girl.
But what really annoys me is that if an Asian girl isn't interested in Asian guys, people support her. But when they find out I am not interested in Asian girls, everyone jumps on my case. Double standard, right?
But anyway, I just love white girls. Sadly, the stereotype that white girls wouldn't like Asian guys anyway does seem to be true in my experience. Which is why I haven't had a good run of relationships. I am always seen as just a friend. It could be a number of reasons. Maybe I am not trying hard enough or they just don't find me attractive. Maybe because us Asian guys tend to look younger for our age and girls in general don't like that. I know for a fact I look really young for an 18 year old.
I guess I just have to try harder. Also, the fact that I am really into white girls but have never dated one makes me want to get with one that I like even more. I am on a gap year and going to university next year. Maybe things will change there. Yes, I did mean it when I said, “one that I like”. I am not going to date any girl just because she is white.
Being born and raised in the UK, I have heard many different people from the USA say that if I went over there, I wouldn't have much trouble getting a girl because of my “British accent”. Is that true? Maybe I should try my luck in the USA.

I think it's stereotypical both ways to claim that all of one gender in a race are attracted to a certain other race. Regardless of the so-called double standard, I think it's dumb.
I've dated a white girl before and while it didn't last, I didn't find it much different than dating any other girl (my dad, however, did and flipped out about it). However, I've been with 3 Chinese girls, 1 white girl and 1 Vietnamese girl. I don't really have a preference on what kind of girl I want (although I tend to be attracted to Asian girls more). But right now, I'm currently after a white girl.
It is kinda true about the double standard. And you would hear that almost every kind of guy would always like an Asian girl. I just wonder why.
British accents are definitely a plus. Ahas. Double standards will always be around. You can't really control who or what you're attracted to.

Uhh I don't know what to say. Well, there is a boy in my english class. He is half chinese and half white. I am almost crushing on him. He is so sweet! But that's the thing. I'm attracted to sweet guys. What turns you on about a girl besides race? I've crushed on black guys, white guys, asian guys, mixed guys. Sweet guys, power-hungry tyrant type of guys... For me, personality is number one, followed closely by looks. Why don't you list your perferences?

i kind of agree about asian guys generally wanting to date asian girls more then other races...i went to a uni with a very large percentage of asians for the US and would've happily dated an asian guy (really any hot guy...) but no asian guy wanted to date me! :(

You can't really help what your preference is. It's not exactly racist to say you aren't attracted to Asian features. However, many people in the States are so mixed now, I'm sure you'll find someone who likes the way you look (and your personality) that you find attractive.
With regard to the accent, I'd say it's a plus. I can't even place my finger on why, but people that sound different are intriguing and I guess you just want to listen to them talk.
I think the average height for asian guys is like 5'7"-8" and I prefer 6' and taller. the asian guys that I liked were both 6'2" and the shortest was 5'11" so I prefer tall guys. mixed asian guys look girly. I'm attracted to asian guys and some white guys but white guys are hairy, so I usually like the cute tall asians^_^ I'm attracted to all races. I just know instantly if I'm attracted to the guy or not. usually if I can't picture having sex with the guy, he is friend zoned. harsh but true.

Actually in the US the most common types of interracial relationships are white male + Asian female and the black male + white female. I tend to think that any shortage of white females is offset by white males going out with Asian females, but I have always wondered what happens to the surplus of Asian males.
In spite of what seems to be most common, it is quite possible for you to go out with a white female. I have seen it happen before. Looking young for your age may be an annoyance when you're young, but it's actually a gift in the long term. When I was your age I looked about 14 or 15, now I'm 28 and people think I'm 21. Not having a girlfriend at 18, especially if you haven't started going to college yet, is no big deal. Once you get a little older all you have to do is date a younger woman. Around your second or 3rd year of college you can date a freshmen, problem solved. And most women do like guys that are a few years older than they are. When you're 22 or 23 it should be pretty easy for you to go out with an 18 or 19 year old assuming you are still in college.
BUT, after college it doesn't matter how awesome you are though because there's suddenly no one around for you to hit on. So you do need to have your romantic affairs taken care of before you get done with college.
Yeah, I agree. It's weird for an Asian guy to be with a white girl (though not impossible! My best friend is in that type of relationship), but if you want to try your luck in the US, try searching somewhere where the demographic is heavily in your favor...aka, the whiter states.
You're strange, purely on a sexual level any good looking girl from any race will turn me on. Lebanese, Armenian, Thai, French, Spanish, Chinese, Scottish, English, Swedish, Filipino.. I can't think of a single nationality I wouldn't be sexually attracted to... However, if I had a choice and time and chance didn't play apart in it, I'd choose a Filipina girl from back home.
Honestly, whenever someone covets a particular race and ignores everything else, to me that sounds like a fetish. Asian girls coveting white boys, Black guys coveting white girls, White guys coveting asian girls, asian boys coveting white girls.... It's all so stupid, most of it is superficial and meaningless. It's all about who you connect with dude, you have to many presuppositions about Asian girls...
All the white women I know are attracted to Asian guys. I guess you have to look for girls who like anime.

It's true. Interracial couples go after what they lack.. Stereotypically (also known as. . . most often) White guys go after asian girls for their timidness. Black guys like white girls because they're not as "loud." Asians go after white people because their partners are nothing like their parents with their strict traditions (or maybe I'm wrong..)
And overall there's the Caucasian "beautiful" features that almost everyone in the world likes... Check out the 100 pageants that went for the Miss Universe title; even the vietnamese one looks kinda white in a way. Lots of them look the same!
Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I'm percieving it. Don't get me wrong; I support interracial couples since I like white guys too.

Racismis the belief that raceis the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. It's based on generalizations and makes a person blind to the actual qualities of an individual. So WHAT IS it about Asian girls that you don't like? Is it because they're so skinny? NOT ALL of them are. Is it because they're so white? NOT ALL of them are. Is it because they're shy? NOT ALL of them are. Is it because they have small eyes? NOT ALL of them do. How about the other guy--he isn't attracted to white girls. Shallow much? So I guess a girl can be the most awesome, perfect, sweet, caring, loving and gorgeous girl in the world but you know she is white, so...
I'd totally accept it if you had only said "Well, I'm not attracted to this or that feature that is very present where I live". We all have our physical preferences.
Thank goodness you said neither Asian girls or white girls are attracted to your type. You're basically screwed.
I know loads of different raced relationships, its not about race its about personality
