What happens when "I love you" turns into "I like you" instead?
Remember my friend Mrs. Robinson who is currently dating a younger guy? So they've been dating for a few months now and recently he let slip the 3 words "I love you" for the first time while they were doing the horizontal mambo. Of course she was ecstatic when it happened so she's said it back to him since then. Problem is, he's never said it again.
She's beginning to wonder if he meant it. When she asked for my honest opinion, I told her that it's usually just a 'in the heat of the moment' thing and he may not have meant it, especially if it's the first time she's hearing it. She was bummed out by it so she's jokingly asked him if he loves her. He told her "I like you." Talk about knife to the heart...
So if someone tells you for the FIRST time they love you, while having sex, does it count?

Nope.
Not really, I think that just like when someone is drunk or drugged when in the actual sex act there are too many chemical explosions happening in the body for anything like that to be taken too seriously. It's what he says with his clothes on that you can take seriously.
unfortunately don't think so. i agree with the "heat of the moment" comment!
@Dare2BDiferentt@xanga - You've done it before?

@FreeeVerse@xanga - Haha, HEY.
Of course not... everyone knows that. :(
@Dare2BDiferentt@xanga - You can't expect me not to tease you, ickle boy!
no way :(, just heat of the moment
Poor flower, getting written on by a marker. lol
Oh...sucks for her. =(
In the heat of the moment, my boyfriend gave me an atomic wedgie.
Explanation: he was grabbing my butt (still clothed) and I bit his lip (his huge turn-on) and his arms jerked upward, still holding the edges of my panties. It was hilarious.
So no, I'm confident that guys don't have much control over what they do or say in the "moment", unless they stop and look you in the eye to say it, and meaningfully. She should keep on trucking. It was probably too early. If he never says it, well, dump his ass. My ex told me he loved me---but to keep me interested so he could bang me. Don't let that happen to your friend.
Nothing counts during sex.
definitely heat of the moment. girls are all suckers for those 3 words - lets see if this moment plays up again, just not in bed.
i heard in a movie once that "if someone tells you they love you 10 minutes before or after sex, or during, then it doesn't count".... very true, if ya ask me.
I don't know, I wouldn't have sex with a guy who hadn't already said I love you and really had fallen for me, because well I wouldn't trust them if they said it during.
I won't say he definitely didn't mean it--we don't know, and saying "I love you" during sex doesn't necessarily mean it's a guaranteed lie. But it's unlikely that he meant it, given the situation and the fact that he hasn't said it since (and has dodged the question by replying that he "likes" her)...yeah. It doesn't look like he's completely into this relationship.
i think anything said during sex doesnt count. I my current SO said he wanted us to have a baby yet he really dislikes babies/children. haha i just took it as a joke so yea dont believe everything thats said during the act.
Definately not. Think about it this way... Being in the heat of the moment is sorta like being drunk. Ppl say a lot of things they don't mean when they're drunk.
got to be honest, that's why i wait to hear it before my clothes come off. i agree that it's really hard to separate emotions and feelings and chemical reactions at such an intense, intimate moment. he likely thought he meant it at the time, but testosterone and endorphins can be very misleading.
:)
awwww. that heat of the moment kind of thing hurts.
Haha, that happened to me! He said it, and it freaked me out so that I actually stopped. I thought it was too early. He told me that he meant it, but I asked him not to say it again. So after that, he would say he really likes me. He was patient, however, and I was able to say it back a few weeks afterward.
during sex? i would definitely consider the chance that its the heat of the moment.
I think it's best to assume it was in the heat of the moment, if it was real he'd say it again outside the bedroom.
@follow_home@xanga - Same here.
