Confessions of a Hopeless Romantic

It’s a Saturday night and I’m sitting at home with my best girl friend, eating a TV dinner and watching Sleepless In Seattle. Bunch of dorks? Maybe, but also a bunch of hopeless romantics sighing over Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan. (The “It” couple of the 90s) Why not dream of a love like the movies or like the books? So maybe you won’t meet a John Cusack at the Serendipity Café or fall for Shop Girl over email, but you can somehow hope for something like it. I’ve never fell for the whole Vampire/Twilight saga, but girls today are somehow going wild for them. I guess its love at first bite. From books to movies, hopeless romantics will never stop sighing. I think were all just waiting for Mr. Darcy...
So my question is: Are you a hopeless romantic? What's your favorite romantic movie?

Mr. Darcy. <3 Colin Firth version, please. But yeah, I think the romantic never dies in us, even when we live a little bit more rationally or decide to.
Say Anything. I'm not a hopeless romantic, I don't think, but the whole radio outside her window thing is something I think is adorable :)
I would say that I'm a secret hopeless romantic :P I'm always dreaming about the day I meet a great guy and it's all lovey dovey and mushy and ew. ^_^
ahaha as for romantic novels, I really don't like them. Twilight ? lmao.
damn, im one of them. sigh.
Mr. Darcy? But Elizabeth thought he was a jerk for a large part of the book... I think -- I sparknoted everything after the first 50 pages. :P
Love, Actually is a great chick flick for this getting-close-to-Christmas season. I can rattle out a longer list if anyone wants me to though. Paha.
I wouldn't say that I'm a hopeless romantic, but I do love Serendipity~
People have called me that before... and romantic movies.. o_o there are just too many to choose from.
Okay, I watch a mix of Dramas and Comedies, separate or mixed.
I love When Harry Met Sally. That's a classic. And I also like You've Got Mail. Maybe I'm just a Meg Ryan nut. She's awesome.
i like to consider myself a "hopeful romantic" and i currently like the lake house
I don't think I'm a hopeless romantic but I do LOVE Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail. My other favorites are The Shop Around the Corner (the movie that You've Got Mail is based on), Pride and Prejudice, Annie Hall, and When Harry Met Sally.
i'm SUCH a hopeless romantic. i love You've Got Mail, While You Were Sleeping, Overboard, Sleepless in Seattle, Sweet Home Alabama..... <3
OMG I'm such a hopeless romantic like that. Penelope anyone? That kiss at the end of the movie gets me EVERY TIME.
Mr. Darcy
@buddy71@xanga - i love the lake house! its one of my favorite movies!
i liked when harry met sally. though i feel its pretty similar to my story, right now, too lol
i'm not an unrealistic romantic, i dont think.
i am secretly one of the biggest you'll ever find.
shhh.
Yes, absolutely, I am and I know it. I won't deny it either. *sigh. haha.
Mr. Big from sex and the city. Keanu Reeves from Sweet November... the list goes on. I'm a hopeless romantic on the inside, I try not to show it too much on the outside ;)
SHOOT I'M HOPEFUL ROMANTIC! JUST WAIT IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN!... then again, this is just me behind the keyboard. haha. Favorite Romantic movie? ...wished I had one. :(
My life should be turned into a movie.
Love Kate and Leopold. I don't think a lot of people know about that movie, but it stars Meg Ryan and Hugh Jackman (pre X-men). My other favorites are A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, and City of Angels (wow, lots of Meg Ryan love). I'm going to stop here, but I can think of so many more, including the ones that were already mentioned. I love romance movies!
omg i could watch when harry met sally a thousand times and still think it's the cutest thing ever. and i love never been kissed. the end scene just makes me feel so happy inside every time. haha.
I thought I was a hopeless romantic until a friend told me I was just hopeless, without the romantic. As if.
I don't think I have a favorite romantic movie, but I do enjoy on-screen chemistry in other types of movies.
I am such a hopeless romantic.... but I prefer books, not movies.
Yes and I have so many favorite romantic movies. But I think my relationship with my boyfriend is sooo much better than those movies that it makes me gag a little to watch most of them nowadays.
p.s. i love you, city of angels, and the best movie/book ever, pride and prejudice.
also, Persuasion. that book/movie is the epitome of hopeless romantic
