Good Date Gone Way Past Left Field
So a good friend of mine calls me to ask me to do the double date thing with her (something I don't usually do). She really liked the guy and had recently met his cousin and she figured I would like the guy. So we decided we would meet the guys out at the restaurant for dinner. We get there and have a seat since the guys are already there. I meet the cousin who isn't my type but hey I'm just being nice for her sake, he is easy on the eyes and that does make it a bit more easy. So the date is going on, and we are all talking and laughng and talkin smack. Now here is where it starts to get hairy.
I had very short hair then much like some of the young men that I work with, and having had been to the barbershop earlier in the day my edgeup was tight. So this cousin makes a comment "I hate it when these Dikes with short hair try to act girlish". I dismissed the comment and pretended not to hear it, but this dummy decided he wanted to say it yet again and this time loud enough for the few tables there were to hear him. Needless to say, I got up grabbed my keys, and my purse and left.
Have you ever walked out on a date? Why?

I've never walked out on a date myself, I just grin and bare it to be polite, but I don't blame you at all for walking out that was rude, especially for him to repeat it again and louder. what an ass
Wtf? That's rude. I would have left too.
wow .__.' he's an idiot.
No, but in your case... YES! What a moron.
Never been on a date. But I'll be sure to never say something like that if I ever do go on one heh.
Apparently he didn't read the 1st date manual and saw that's a huge no no.
that is rude. i woulda flipped him off before i left.
WHOA RUDE AS HELL. thats the right move.
It's spelled dyke.... hahaha... I would know.... -___-;; Asswipe. Good thing you left, that was a very rude and uncalled for comment! I would have accidentally dumped the contents of my drink into his hair.
i hate being the wingman sometimes. this guy sounds like a douche.
Lol, wow. Just, wow.
That guy is a sexist jerk for saying that to you. I would have left too.
I've never walked out on a date, but I did go on a date that started out wonderful and quickly turned sour. The problem is, we had taken the train downtown and were at a baseball game when it went bad--which meant one reaaaallllly awkward 1 hour train ride home.
If I had been in the situation you described, I would have thrown soda in his face. What a douchebag!
how do u know he was talking about u? lol
Wow that was rude!
I was once on a double date with a guy and my two friends (who were a couple at the time.) We went and saw a movie. At one point, the lead actress has gone home with a guy from a bar and is in his bathroom calling her friend on her cellphone. As they hang up, her friend goes "Call me later, you slut!" The guy I was on a date with turns to me and goes "Is that what your friends call you?" Needless to say, that was our last date.
So, honey, I feel your pain.

wow, what an arrogant asshole.
@BoStOnIaNMoMmY@xanga - well it was kinda hard when he is looking me dead in my face and besides my bf I was the only other female there.lol
@IrishCream41@xanga - I so wish I would have had some soda to pour on him. He was ridiculous. I mean even if that was his opinion not knowing me lilke that, it was really out of line for him to say that. I know I can be rude but damn, not like that.
@JusticeCho@xanga - That is definitely one of the Top 5 Things not to say to a Woman/Girl You don't know. Trust me, it will get you NO where, unless she is just that stupid.
@Roadlesstaken@xanga - I wish that there was a book for the guys to read, or a class that you could take on the do's and don't of being with a girl or even better, social do's and don't when in mixed company. It would be great, and there would have to be one for us gals too just to make it fair. Oh and it would be considered part of the health class experience.
