Halloween Help: Couple's Costumes
Halloween's just around the corner! Which means that...
IT'S TIME TO BRAINSTORM SOME GOOD COSTUME IDEAS!Since this is my first Halloween spent with a significant other... I think we should match each other. It may seem corny, but it also seems so fun.
So far, my mind's pretty empty of ideas. Ever since I was young, I had always wanted my "Tuxedo Mask" from the Sailor Moon series. That's the only thought that came across my mind when I thought of matching with him. But when I googled previous Sailor Moon costumes, they looked so hard to make! (Yes, I wanted to make my costume instead of buying it...!) I love putting random things together to form a masterpiece! Plus, it's more creative and unique that way ;) But then I realized, probably ANY costume would take time and effort to create. Therefore, I'm open to lots of opinions!
Anyway, if you guys had to match with your SO, what would you dress up as?

@snapeful@xanga - my fiance and I were totally gonna be Link and Zelda this year, but we don't have enough money/time for costumes haha
@justXforXyou_beautiful@xanga - Haha yeah.... especially if you want to make a quality costume that takes months. Cosplay idea? xD
oh sailor moon/tuxedo mask is lovely. that's a great pair. hmm if i were going to go for anime couples. kenshin and kaoru are at the absolute top of that list.
Cleopatra and Mark Anthon/Julius Caesar
:)
THAT PICTURE IS AWESOME!
My boy and I were considerig Captain Kirk and an ambiguous Star Trek female from the original series, or Superman and Lois Lane.
@walkintotheseaaa@xanga - omg, being the star trek fanatic i am, i actually talked my girlfriend into doing star trek... until we found out the costumes were like 40-60 dollars, minus comm badges (which i have one of... but only one)
@harmonyminusmelody@xanga - I know! They're expensive. That's our main issue too. But, it's funny, my boyfriend is the fanatic of the two of us (thoughI do love it, too), but the costumes were definitely my idea. :D
Ommmmmgggg, go as bella and edward!
cause, he's the pefect boyfriend, I mean who doesn't want to be stalked? :D
haha jk, I couldnt resist.
Hmmm, since you're making itt, you could dress like a couple getting married,
but since that's kind of corny,
twist it up, he be the bride and you be the groom.
Back when I had pin up hair, my boyfriend and I went as Uma Thurman and John Travolta from Pulp Fiction. We even did the dance scene when they're in the restaurant. It was fun as hell!
LOL.
Usagi and Mamo-chan <3. :3
If you wanna talk about anime couples, I knew a few ~.~ .
Last year my boyfriend was mario and I was the star ^^ he loves the star more than he loves peach and you know it!!!!!
i keep suggesting to my boyfriend that he be a football player and i be his cheerleader but we have no occasion to dress up :( haha.
I wanted to do Sailor Mercury and Tuxedo Mask but my husband refused it! He hates him. His costume would have been fairly simple, and I looked up enough cosplay tutorials to be able to make the sailor mercury costume.
We're going as Akuma and Sakura from Street Fighter and Team Rocket. We have to make them ourselves, but there are enough tutorials and free patterns online that I think it's okay to risk it.
This year my boyfriend and I are going as Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett. The costumes aren't too difficult if you like thrifting and know your way around a sewing machine...
@TiffanixTRAGIC@xanga - Hey, Edward is the perfect boyfriend! Joking.. But yeah, anyway that seems like a pretty good idea.
I think maybe you could go as bride though and he could go as groom. But you could be like a witch bride, for example and he could be a vampire groom for example. So, it's more in the Halloween spirit. Or you could go as a dead bride? Cover yourself in fake blood, etc.. he killed you could be your little story. But, try being creative and brainstorm with your partner what you both like and think you could dress up as. Make it fun - make it look good. But, try and not be too corny, but still add that coupley feeling to it.
I was working at JCPenney yesterday and this lady bought two red sweatsuits. She told me she and her best friend were dressing up as Thing 1 and Thing 2 for Halloween. I thought that was absolutely adorable. :D
mario and peach and if your friends are dating, have them be luigi and daisy...
mickey mouse and mini mouse.
or jack and sally C:
@chelseanataliex@xanga - i like your idea C:
@x_sensationalquotes@xanga - Thanks.
Thing 1 and Thing 2 is awesome!
Last year, my boyfriend and I went as Jim and Pam from The Office. I don't know if you're into that show, but I am slightly obsessed and it was the best costume ever. We even dressed up as they did in the halloween episode, to make it more spirited for the holiday. It's easy, because they wear pretty normal clothes most of the time. Takes less effort.
In high school, my friends dressed up as clouds and sunshine. They just bought blue pajamas and yellow pajamas and decorated them accordingly. Then they made cute little hats. It was rad.
There's also...Princess Leia and Han Solo, The Joker and Harleyquin, Salt and Pepper, Plug and Outlet, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus (I love Christmas themes on halloween)...etc etc.
OMFG THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT TO DO.
@walkintotheseaaa@xanga - :D totally what my boy and I are being this year! Except I'm going to be a doctor/scientist because my dress is blue.
