"Good Vibrations"
It's late and I was watching Robot Chicken. They made a joke off of a parody of Transformers. Anyway the scientist said to the transformer your still using D batteries, thats like using a wooden vibrator...lol. So that made me think of this history of vibrators. I wikipedia-ed it lol....vibrators that is, and this is what I found. Clockwork-powered vibrator known as the tremoussoir was made in France 1734 . The electrically vibrator was invented by Kelsey Stinner in the 1880s to treat "congestion of the genitalia" and/or "female hysteria". Basically these woman needed a good orgasm lol.
Then in 1902 Hamilton Beach (I.E ur coffee maker) patented the first electric vibrator for sale. The vibrator became the fifth domestic appliance to be electrified, after the sewing machine, fan, tea kettle, and toaster. The home versions became really popular, with advertisements in periodicals likes Needlecraft, Woman's Home Companion, Modern Priscilla, and the Sears Roebuck catalog. These disappeared in the 1920s, apparently because their appearance in pornos made it no longer acceptable for polite society.
Then this lead to a search of masturbation... not getting into details just facts.
Benefits
1) Relieve depression
2) Higher sense of self-worth
3) Males masturbating frequently had a lower probability to develop prostate cancer, found in a 2003 Australian study. Men who averaged five or more ejaculations weekly in their 20s had significantly lower risk.
4) 2008 study at Tabriz Medical University found ejaculation reduces swollen nasal blood vessels, freeing the airway for normal breathing.
5)Some professionals consider masturbation to be a cardiovascular workout.
6) Both sex and masturbation lower blood pressure.
7) Your partner learns how to please you.
Masturbation is becoming accepted as a healthy practice and safe method for sharing pleasure without some of the dangers that can accompany intercourse. Masturbate-a-thons are often charity events that are "intended to encourage people to explore safer sex, talk about masturbation and lift the taboos that still surround the subject." May is considered "Masturbation Month" by sex-positive organizations.
Thoughts on masturbation? Do you do it?

That's pretty bomb. I didn't know they went so far back. :)
I've seen this post on three different sites now. Awesome! I love this post :)
@steph - I know I should learn to pick one and submit it to only that one. lol Thank! But I do love the different edits on it.
Oh masturbation and vibrators.. how the world is so much of a better place with you in it or doing it. It's a glorious thing
Wow, good post! It gives us a little insight ;D
Yeah, I think it should be accepted more openly!!! Most definitelyVery interesting and informative. do I masturbate? Of course, it's as natural as scratching an itch. I masturbate when I'm single definitely, but even when I'm in a relationship...still do it! And kudos to Hamilton Beach. They woke us up in more ways than one -coffee and vibrators : ) !
i absolutely love vibrators. i own four different ones! they are an excellent alternative to the plain old hand.
also kind of tired hearing this bs about vibrators being only for
women... what's that all about??? i've come across way too many guys
who have never used a vibrator.. i was like: how do you LIVE man?!?
@xocomaox@xanga - I totally agree.. vibrators can be for me.. I own 4 but 1 I also use during sex so I don't know if I should count that one
wow never knew that o.o i thought vibrators were invented near the 21st or late 20th century or something lol xD
Its all about the
goldendildo
Take a crappy post, multiply it by three, and then add a different stupid question to the end each time. What does this little math question equal? Xanga seems intent on making that answer resoundingly... -ish content.
@NikBv@xanga - Check... mate!
yes.
@xocomaox@xanga - did you use them on your gf or yourself? props to you for being so honest!
@azn_gurl_shushi@xanga - myself of course! we are talking about masturbation, right? lol
@xocomaox@xanga - oh sorry! I was reading a couple of datingish blogs simultaneously so I got confused.
masturbation YEAH! vibrators YEAH! i own 4 and have broken 4 YEAH! GO ME
Sure do.
I had no idea vibrators had been around that long, that's interesting to know, haha.
I knew there were benefits to masturbation! Maybe now I could convince someone to give me money for a vibrator since I'm off my dad's insurance and can't afford my anti-depressants anymore, haha.
@xocomaox@xanga - @shadesofillusion@xanga -
Just wondering out of curiousity ... do you use these vibrators for anal masturbation or just everything external? I know men are scared to fuck around with their ass because of being called gay (which I'm sure bothers a straight man).
Sorry if this is so graphic... I'm just curious if all men who own vibrators for playing use it for insertion.
@LoveYouToDeath16@xanga - yes, I find no shame in all with using it. Truly an experience.
@shadesofillusion@xanga - So I have heard... men shouldn't be so ashamed. The ones who give in in secrecy end up loving it... though too afraid to admit it or ask a new sexual partner to try it out.
@LoveYouToDeath16@xanga - i use them both for anal and external. usually more often with external. place a hatachi magic wand on my cock and i'm cumming in under 2 minutes! :P but a good vibrator on your prostate is soooo good...
yes, it does bother straight men to be labeled as "gay" when talking about anal play. i don't understand how playing with your ass has anything to do with being attracted to the same sex? must be the closed-minded, media brainwashed youth of today.
this is not supposed to be like an offended reply or anything, so don't take it the wrong way. :)
@LoveYouToDeath16@xanga - yea me and my wife.. it's very exciting.. if you do ask gently as a way of turning you on
