  • "Good Vibrations"

It's late and I was watching Robot Chicken. They made a joke off of a parody of Transformers. Anyway the scientist said to the transformer your still using D batteries, thats like using a wooden vibrator...lol. So that made me think of this history of vibrators. I wikipedia-ed it lol....vibrators that is, and this is what I found.

Clockwork-powered vibrator known as the tremoussoir was made in France 1734 . The electrically vibrator was invented by Kelsey Stinner in the 1880s to treat "congestion of the genitalia" and/or "female hysteria". Basically these woman needed a good orgasm lol.

Then in 1902  Hamilton Beach (I.E ur coffee maker) patented the first electric vibrator  for sale. The vibrator became the fifth domestic appliance to be electrified, after the sewing machine, fan, tea kettle, and toaster. The home versions became really popular, with advertisements in periodicals likes Needlecraft, Woman's Home Companion, Modern Priscilla, and the Sears Roebuck catalog. These disappeared in the 1920s, apparently because their appearance in pornos made it no longer acceptable for polite society.

Then this lead to a search of masturbation... not getting into details just facts.

    Benefits

    1) Relieve depression

    2) Higher sense of self-worth

    3) Males masturbating frequently had a lower probability to develop prostate cancer, found in a 2003 Australian study. Men who averaged five or more ejaculations weekly in their 20s had significantly lower risk.

    4) 2008 study at Tabriz Medical University found ejaculation reduces swollen nasal blood vessels, freeing the airway for normal breathing.

5)Some professionals consider masturbation to be a cardiovascular workout.

    6) Both sex and masturbation lower blood pressure.

    7) Your partner learns how to please you.

Masturbation is becoming accepted as a healthy practice and safe method for sharing pleasure without some of the dangers that can accompany intercourse. Masturbate-a-thons are often charity events that are "intended to encourage people to explore safer sex, talk about masturbation and lift the taboos that still surround the subject." May is considered "Masturbation Month" by sex-positive organizations.

Thoughts on masturbation? Do you do it?
