Can You Get a Girl With a Corny Pick-Up Line?
So do pick up lines ever really work? I say yes because there are an infinite number of pick up lines not just the corny ones like "Did it hurt? (I think the rest is pretty well known now)" or something about looking in the mirror and seeing the most beautiful thing in the world. Pick up lines are so narrowly defined as corny lines guys use to get a girl and now people make jokes out of pick up lines. However, true pick up lines stem from your own unique style, words, and most of all feelings. Pick up lines are probably more well defined as lines that allow you to "pick up" a girl not corny ones that are just as a joke that get you a look of scorn on the girl's face. In the luckiest of situations if you can get a girl with a corny pick up line, kudos to you.
How do pick up lines "pick up" a girl? It's all in the confidence. If you have confidence in yourself enough to tell a girl how you feel and she accepts you, you just used a pick up line. Doesn't matter how cliche it may seem as long as it gets you the girl, pick up line has been established. Confidence is a powerful tool in any situation.
Confidence ftw to sum it all up. This goes for guys and girls, confidence is a big factor in first impressions, especially of the opposite sex. I like to think that with confidence comes more confidence because of the awesome results you get from it.
What do you think of pick up lines? And out of curiosity, has anyone been "picked up" by a corny pick up line? I think it'd be fun to experiment if they actually do work.

If the pick-up line is unique enough, I guess that's the whole point.
I'd definitely go home with a guy that has a funny-as-hell pick-up line :P
if you use one to make me laugh then i'd stick around. if it's used in all seriousness i think i'd be laughing for all the wrong reasons and walk off with my girls.
corny pickup lines are believable if they're said in a sarcastic way. If they're said seriously, that's just lame and weird. It's all about the right sense of humor :)

I never been pick up with a corny pick up line from a girl, or have used one. I don't do pick up lines.
Depends on who, what, where, and how! of course! It's all in the approach and who the girl is. If it's a girl-next-door, kind, best friend type and a guy happens to capture her heart with his jokes, fosho. If it's an easy-going, easy-laughing girl probably too! stuff like that. also depends on how good-looking one is.
I mean it depends lol. If its the cute, corny pick up line made by a cute guy... I'd fall for him xD
i haven't witnessed any successful pick up lines, unless i was already interested in said guy. haha.
A few of my guy friends liked to practice their corny pick up lines on me and it always made me chuckle. I think that's why when a guy legit tries one I laugh. I can see it working on me if it was the right pick up line and the right guy delivering it. Approach is everything in my book.
They're cute. :] I'd go with a guy as long as he had the right personality. It's all about the attitude...can't date the freaky antisocial creeps. >_<
If you can't get a girl with a pickup line, don't hate the line. If you were good looking enough, she would go out with you anyway.

Personally, I'm not one for corny pickup lines. Especially if they're made seriously, with the intent to be exactly that, a pickup line. But if they're made jokingly, and as cornily as possible with much laughter, then you could very well start a good conversation there. Otherwise you can hike you're little hiney the other way, pal...

I've had some pretty cute pick up lines in my time. The best one I've heard was at a solo and ensemble music festival. If you're not familiar with it, basically a person can be in three events, and can play one solo, and whatever else. I have been in a woodwind trio, and flute trio. Stuff like that.
Anyway, this cute boy on the clarinet told me that we should play a duet together sometime. It was just the cutest thing.
Another time, someone asked me if we could do math together. It made me swoon.
The most imaginative I've gotten was from my ex boyfriend, who asked me before we started dating if I'd like to come over and join a Starcraft LAN party. Needless to say I said yes!

i've used corny ones before - and had them work! XD but it was just for luls,and yeah i use pickup lines,that aren't corny as well
My pick up line for my bf was basically just "call me if u need me" then yer he was like 'i dont have ur number o.O'
so YEAH hahaha xDbut i dunno, pick up lines are ok if the guy doesnt say it as if he has watched it in a million movies!
Haha, pick up lines as you stated work when the person is confident enough to use them. I had a guy use a few corny ones on me, but although he knew they were corny, he didn't care and flashed a great smile! He made me laugh. In the end, I agreed to go out w/ him; but it didn't work.

my pickup line that works the most goes like this..."hi,whats ur name"...blah blah whats urs "oh well i forgot my name at home, but if your willing to know i can take you to find it"...works only when i'm wearing a clown suit....
I've been picked up by a guy before but I already thught he was hot lol
