  • Have You Ever Fallen Into the Trap?

So I never really believed what my mom told me about boys, but some way or another I couldn't help but wonder if it was happening, if it was possible, or whatever. I guess it can happen for girls too, but I decided to focus more on the opposite sex.

It's funny how there are so many cliques these days that when they are separated they seem so clueless on what they wanna do, with guys in particular correct me if I'm wrong...it's like when one guy likes a girl his whole circle of friends like the same one. Is it because they are always around each other that they all like the same things - want the same things?

On another note, do guys still have bets over girls? Pass them around? Or try to see who can get her just to see who has the most game? How would one know if this was the case?

Girls have you ever felt like a guy was setting up a trap for you?

I've never heard of a whole group of guys all liking one girl. At least, that doesn't happen amongst my guy friends.

I've never felt like a guy was setting a trap for me.

If there is one girl in the group of guys. Yes, they all like her, they are all trying to date/sleep with her.

Only one will. And the others will be jealous. Then after they break up, the guys will subliminally fight over who gets her next.

If she chooses another one from the group, the same will happen.

The process will repeat until either the girl stops dating the guys around her, or until the group itself breaks up.

story of my summer. so many guys were chasing me this summer, and i found it so weird cuz i was going to move really far away for college. then i just came to the conclusion they wanted to see if they could bed me before i left.

Not in any of my circles...
We respect eachother's. Not to say we wouldn't find her attractive. I'd go as far as saying I don't doubt my friends have thought about 'bedding' some of my girls. Not as a reality, but simply a passing thought. Vice versa... yea some of my friend's girls are really hot, and to not find the sexually attractive would be lying.

Most guys have virtually no game to speak of, I really think that it's something like a 1 in 5 guys are extremely skillful in the art of sliming their way into girls panties. (gross image for the gross activity)
Those people who have the "don't hate the player hate the game" attitude are ... disgusting to me. There's not much of a trophy at the end of this race that goes on in their head(s). Maybe an STD as a parting gift... So anyhoo... I forgot why I got on this rant, utter disgust maybe?

Let me just answers those questions, from my personal experience, in succession.
    No.
    No.
    No.
    I don't know.

edit - Let me just make an addendum: Guys with these attitudes seem to think themselves of the "Alpha Male" ilk. Let me just make a point.
    1) Being a sexual slob doesn't raise your prowess.

I personally have not done bets or passed around girls.  To me, that seems too disrespectful for my taste.  However, my friend would occasionally say if I ended up dating a particular girl he would pay for our first dinner.  That wouldn't be anywhere near my biggest incentive to go for someone, but hey if that happens I'm definitely gonna make him buy us an expensive meal =D

I have many acquaintences but choose my own company, save that of my love or best friend. I disdain boys.

  • zxzeebrastar@xanga

I've never seen this happen before. But it seems like a really low thing to do =/

  • mywordsx@xanga

Yep, I've felt like that a couple times.

  • bLu3_marShMeLo@xanga

Never heard of any of these things. And if we do make bets, which I may have heard, can't honestly remember, they are forgotten and not taken seriously.

  • snapeful@xanga

lol wat. I go to university. Doesn't really happen here rofl. that "bet u x girl will fall 4 u!!! b/c she so fckin nerdy!! 2 mionths for her virginizty" bullshit happens in fiction, not real life. don't worry your pretty little head about it.

3 of my male friends have admitted betting over me! thankfully, i think the betting took place before they became good friends with me but still...i threw something at them when i found out. and these guys weren't the sketchy type you would associate with that type of behavior either...  can't trust anyone at all! T_T

thankfully i've never been in that situation before or if i have, i was never told.  it's a bit immature for someone to set another person up for a trap.  it's like they're insecure with themselves and have to show off to their friends to prove a point to them.  it's so lame.

  • wizexel22@xanga

Groups of guy friends all liking the same girl??? That only happens when there's a group of guys that never get any girls, or hang out with any girls, but then suddenly they get one cute girl friend in their "group" and so everyone starts liking that girl.  Oh, and I guess it happens in teen TV shows too.

As for the other stuff....I've never heard of that stuff (passing around girls, seeing who can sleep with a girl). That seems weird to me cuz that means you all have to already know the girl.... that just seems pretty low and dirty...but I'm sure it goes on, but its not a "thing" most guys do.

Maybe things are different depending on what type of city you live in. I could see that stuff going on a lot more in smaller cities/communities.

  • turtletastic

I've noticed that sometimes, and I've noticed that occassionally it just depends on the girl and the time. Like all the guys in our group like the same girl at the same time, and then move on to another girl...

Don't exactly know why, maybe she lets off hormones or something... Or maybe it's just one of those things where one guy points out a girl's positive traits and the others start to notice. Eh?

  • xxAirixx@xanga

THANK GOD NO it has not happened to me..But I do however read more and more of it..and it scair's me to no end..dont trust guys so much becus of reading it.

  • lapis_lazuli917@xanga

A whole group of guys after one girl? Never heard of this...

But no, this has never happened to me.

  • Mailme44@xanga

yes, I always pick up on this too. its happened a few times to me... or they have tried a few times i should say. instead i twist the game around.. if they're gonna bet on me they're all gonna end up broken hearted. what can i say? no ones gonna trap me, i am the trap when it comes to games. what goes around comes around and ohhh damn im coming around.

  • dearFLOPPY@xanga

guys talk about girls ALL the time. i got rated before i even got together with my SO.

  • erahslover@xanga
