What's a Virgin?
There are so many different definitions of what losing your virginity would consist of. For me, losing my virginity would mean being penetrated, anywhere. Doesn't matter if one or the other climaxed, but the simple fact that the male part went in there, I think, would mean that you are no longer pure. Someone has been there.
Do you agree? Have you ever gotten in a fight with someone about the term "virgin"? What's your definition of a virgin?

There's no doubt that is a good definition of virgin but say you were to use it in the context of not ever seeing a grown woman naked?
haha ya i agree...that's basically it. Though yes...a guy tried to convince me otherwise...that penetration itself wasn't enough. lol ya no.
Virgin, to me, is a girl with her hymen unbroken. There are no virgin guys and if there are, they're losers. jk jk
I don't think I've ever gotten in a fight with anyone over the term or meaning of it. If I have it must've been a stupid fight, lol.
broken hymen; Penis penetration
a girl with an unbroken hymen.
Yes broken hymen and penis penetration but let me ask you something? If you were born without a hymen does it mean you're not a virgin? If you were rapped does that mean you're not a virgin? Virginity is more a state of the mind than of the body because it may be body to body, but the mind is the one being shattered if something bad happens. So pls get back to me and this one.
When my boyfriend first stuck his penis in my vagina...TADA virginity gone!
Although, he had been with two other women sexually, so I felt good having him there knowing what to do.
doesnt matter rape or not....broken hymen+any type of penetration=no virginity

The Hymen can break during other activities, such as dancing, horseback riding, etc. Like,Xx_Better_Than_Drugs_xX@xanga said some girls aren't even born with one. An unbroken hymen isn't a very accurate way to decide who is a virgin.
@TheDemonParade@xanga - exactly my thoughts, very nice comment, i'll give you a mini ^_^
@Xx_Better_Than_Drugs_xX@xanga - :D Thanks :P
i agree with your definition
@TheDemonParade@xanga - Hmm.. True o_o
I don't ever remember having a hymen, but I've never had... intercourse. So nobody is ever going to pop my cherry...
sooo...
always a virgin or never a virgin?
oh, and what if you have an orgasm without penetration? = still virgin? what about solomasturbation? what if you pop the cherry by yourself? or, what if he doesn't use his penis to penetrate? and, are men ever virgin? they have no hymen to break. what do you think?
@mooonshadow@xanga - i believe you're still a virgin but listen to this
yes you can pop the cherry yourself XD by masturbation (lol love the term) and men are virgins until their dick string breaks. it happens hard to men because it take a lot of time for that to happen and it does hurt for them too and they also bleed but a lot less than women.
@Xx_Better_Than_Drugs_xX@xanga - viriginity is a state of mind!! exactly!! that's what i think too.
The first time a penis enters your vagina or you insert your penis into someone's vagina.
K.
being called a "virgin" or not, really depends on the individual itself
.. ex) if i had hymen broken from horseback riding, but no penis penetration; i would still consider myself a virgin because no sexual activity there!
it's funny how people ask "Am I a Virgin if I masterbate by myself?"
Well I believe no, because yet again, no penis penetration.. unless you want to consider self-masterbation as "de-virginizing" yourself
@TheDemonParade@xanga - I know. That's why there's a "jk jk" at the end of that. =]
Edit: I don't have a definition for it as it depends on the person calling themselves a virgin and the person they're trying to convince. Hell, someone could have oral sex with dozens of strangers, contract an STD, and still think of themselves as a virgin. Some people will agree with them, others won't. Our opinions vary too much to agree on one certain thing. Just like if a girl "pops" her cherry doing vigorous, non sexual, physical activity, was raped or never born with one. The hymen is symbolic to some people and they wouldn't consider her a virgin. It's just how some people were raised into religious thinking or by crazy assholes... someone's opinion isn't going to change their mindset.
@TheDemonParade@xanga - Thank you. If I thought of the definition of being virgin were to have an intact hymen, then I lost my virginity at the age of 5 in a big wheel accident hahaha.
I believe virginity exists in a more spiritual form as well as physical. As someone said above, it is more a state of mind. Because what about men? They don't really have anything to 'mark' them as virgin or not.
@TheDemonParade@xanga -I know! that is why I added, (due to) penis penetration!
lol @ "pure." this definition doesn't work for homosexual couples, and i'm pretty sure lesbians who have been physically intimate would not consider themselves "virgins."
@TheScaleDiaries@xanga - i added above that yes even men are virgins they are marked by their dick string
@Athlyx@xanga - Ah okay, and I also agree with you.
Virginity means something different to everyone, it's more a state of mind.
Trying to get everyone to agree on one definition is silly. Everyone is going to have a different opinion on what a virgin is or what a virgin isn't.
@TheScaleDiaries@xanga - Thanks :) And I also agree.
@Athlyx@xanga - lol true i'll give you that one, people who have their mind set on a certain thing are hard to convince of really anything
