Girls, Boys are Smarter Than We Think
Seeing him skate then asking him if his skates wont work. He may know that you already knew that and just be turned off about the fact that you're asking a question you already know that answer to. Who wants a girl that knows everything about you because she hears it from your friends or better yet that girl that's been obsessed with him and knows everything from how many shoes he has to what he bought from some store because she found the receipt in his garbage? Starting off fresh is key, it's best to just learn things from each other.
If you have nothing to talk about don't text him because it's better to have a conversation with substance then have one where you're on the other end waiting for a reply that you may never get. Other girls these days just start with "what you up to?" and "supp" and "what you doing today" that's a conversation that will die down fast, but it's like a game really trying to keep them entertained. I'm sure it's the same for guys, they'll text you when they have something really good to say....right?
He may never tell the whole truth...here's why. He wants you to like things because YOU like them, not because he does. If he says he likes something and starts on about his favorite movie at least be honest, "OHHH That's my favorite" and "me toooo" doesn't cut it. Sometimes guys find it hard to figure out if a girl is genuinely interested in what he likes or just saying it to 'impress' him. So he may start up on a subject and have you finish it because usually your thoughts on a subject shows that you like it because you just do.
So what do you think? Guys do you do this or have you ever? Is this accurate? Girls have you ever observed this in a guy?

If I like a guy I would think of more intellegent conversations but if I'm not interested at all I just wont talk to 'em. Simple as that.
It's always better to have someone who can roll with the punches. Enough said.
Damn right. Boys are smart. (To the post title)
Umm, it happens a lot more to girls doing that to guy than vice versa...which is odd.
haha. the girl you describe sounds like a clueless, hopeless, clingy girl.
No they're not.
I like girls who have their own personalities. If she don't like my favorite movie, tell me. I WILL work hard to change her mind. If she agrees, then that's that. Boring.
I also hate it when a girl calls for no reason (unless she's my gf) or something trivial. It makes the whole phone conversation so weird.
"Hey"
"Hey"
"Why'd you call"
"Oh, no reason."
....
"Okay gotta go!"
Awkward....
You see this all the time in sitcoms in which a guy/girl is trying to impress the opposite sex. It either goes awkwardly and they get discovered for their fake similarities, or it goes swimmingly and they live with the lie of "liking" the same things the other person likes.
yeah, usually when a girl tells me she likes something that i do, i don't believe her.
especially if the same scenario happens more than once.
'omg we have like everything under the sun in common'
...
and thanks for the acknowledment of our intelligence btw! ...that never happens.
We're all stupid. :]
OP, girls are less desperate than you think.
@MissPixieGlitter@xanga - totally
@MissPixieGlitter@xanga - agreed
I usually only date guys with somewhat similar interests,so, no. I'm not a liar. XD
@laurasaurusrex@xanga - Exactly.
I actually sense when girls are doing this. Not that it happens often but I can tell when they're just sitting there waiting for me to come to them, or playing some kind of quiet/inattentive facade. Sometimes they truly are busy but when they're not, there are always subtle hints you can just pick up on right away.
We can be more intuitive than we're given credit for.
Good post. From my experience I do agree and find this accurate.
@MissPixieGlitter@xanga - haha right?
Yes, guys are smarter than you think.
after all, how do you think we can lie to you all the time, and so easily?
I mean we trick girls into going out with the fat guys and douchebags and assholes every day, and we treat you like dirt and you cling to us like mud.
Just sayin...
@XoAsianBabioX@xanga - I have a motto: "Help the helpless, but not the clueless."
actually i've observed that guys do the same to girls. a girl will talk about her favorite sport or song or whatever and the guy will say, "yeah, me too!"
if we were all the same in this world, imagine what a boring world it would be. but honestly the chick described here sounds a bit too desperate (on the verge of obsession), but i feel this post is quite accurate.
50/50?
yeah, I can't stand if a chick is pretending to like the shit I do. I brush those chicas off me quick. : /
I never pretend to like something for a man. I think the truth will get out sooner or later, so just be truthful to yourself. Texting, a "Im thinking of you," is good enough for me.
Just be natural with the conversation, swim the direction of the current and it'll be a smooth ride!
