Miss GiraffeOn
Larry King Live, Chris Brown said about his relationship with Rihanna:
"We're both young, nobody taught us how to love one another. No one taught us a book on how to control our emotions, our anger." Excuse me? This quote just doesn't settle right with me. I guess it's because I've read a lot of stories where love is always displayed, or watched movies with happy love endings, or listened to a lot of songs that described love, or even observed my parents and figured how I would love. Becoming angry enough to beat the shit out of your significant other because you couldn't "handle" your emotions? Do you expect someone to be holding your hand while you "learn to love" someone? My God! If Chris Brown gets away with this comment, now all other partners who have committed domestic violence can just say they never learned to love and get their second chance.
What do you think? You agree with this quote, or do you also feel like something's wrong with this statement?

I think it's because he's black.
That statement made him look like even more of an asshole. No one teaches you to beat up women either. Judging from some of his songs before the whole Rhianna situation, he knows what love is...or at least more than what he tried to let on with that retarded statement!
People these days.
This is debatable. Hitting someone purely out of anger, otherwise unprovoked, is still a natural albeit immature reaction. That's not to say that it's alright. Because actually it's only natural in a toddler's mind. That said, emotionally, he's still a small child. With counseling he can eventually become a mature adult.
@Dare2BDiferentt@xanga - yes black people are soo retarded, they make no sense at all...wait what was that...i'm black too...sucks...
Love, as delusional as it is, simply means you treat someone better than you would want someone to treat you. Thats it. You dont want to be punched in the face, then dont punch in the face.
Chris Brown is an idiot. It doesn't surprise me that he said that. You don't beat the crap out of the person you're in a relationship with and then say, "Oh, I just don't know how to love!"
That's just as much of a joke as his "apology".
@Dare2BDiferentt@xanga - Try because he is black AND in the public eye. Most likely, the public eye made up of the fanbase younger than him.
His PR is clearly just telling him what to say. he beat up a girl and he won't ever live it down. what a p.o.s.
too bad rihanna didn't end up pressing charges because she "loved him". maybe the next time he beats her up he'll knock some sense into her. BA DUM CH!
Is rhianna in the right?
I feel like the media is biast.
Rhianna bit the shit out of chris brown, destroyed his car, and his career.
Chris Brown didnt hit rhianna because he felt like it, he was provoked... extremely provoked. Both people in this relationship have issues. It just sucks that they crack down on chris brown.
@thehighbreed@xanga -
Thank you very much. She did have a part to play.Anyway, he has a lot on his plate as is, people are not making it any easier for him.His career's already dead, what more do people want? I won't judge him because I don't know him as a person.Rhianna's parents told the media his actions were out of character she must have done something serious for him to hit her. .Chris brown needs to be shot.
@jasonwl@xanga - yeah. its a normal reaction for people to choke someone into unconsciousness when they are mad. ARE YOU FUCKING RETARDED?
Don't even answer that - I already know the answer.@Checkmass@xanga - You are a fucking idiot. You should be beaten with a stick.
OMG people let it go, he is already suffering enough let this chris brown shit go already, he is doing his time what more do yall fucking want. stop being immature and LET IT GOOOO ALREADY, talking about it is only making u angry not fixing his or rihanna's fucking issue so chill out already fuck sake.
he needs a reason to have anger issues with her lol. seriously, even if you werent "Taught" to love, you dont go beating your gf.
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - Most people don't react that way. Even though most people with have the urge from time to time. Why? They are mature enough to know why it's wrong. While a toddler will simply act out their emotion without any consideration of consequences. It's easily seen as an evil act, when it could just as easily be just a very stupid act.
There are plenty of toddlers in mens' bodies who think they're adults. Most are just philanderers, but many do hit or threaten to hit women.
I sympathize for Rihanna, but only to a point. Guys like that are easy to spot before the relationship starts. She chose to take the risk by being with him.
If my wording confuses you, I apologize.
@jasonwl@xanga - It's not natural to choke people out of consciousness fucktard.
He's gotta a screw loose. ya know what I mean.
just shoot him. problem solved! : D
@BoStOnIaNMoMmY@xanga - yeah. just shoot him and then the world would be back to normal except one less woman beater!
I think he once said in an interview long ago that he grew up with domestic violence.
and i learned in skool that children who live with that sort of thing can, but not always, grow up to be abusers (or victims)
"Children who have witnessed violence are more likely to
Children don't always repeat the same pattern when they growbe either abusers or victims themselves. Children tend to copy the
behaviour of their parents. Boys learn from their fathers to be
violent to women. Girls learn from their mothers that violence is
to be expected, and something you just have to put up with.
up. Many children don't like what they see, and try very hard not
to make the same mistakes as their parents. Even so, children from
violent families often grow up feeling anxious and depressed, and
find it difficult to get on with other people."

Chris Brown is an idiot.
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - If I seem to be too accepting of guys like that, it's not because of their actions, it's because the women take it and defend it or hide it. Indeed, a man with a well endowed heart and mind couldn't conceive of acting that way. But if you want to keep using the word "fucktard," apply it to women who prefer the uncaring pos over the aparent creep who truly does give a shit. Do you think it's easy to know that the most attractive men are assholes? But those who care the most are seen as creeps? That's by women's preference/perception, so I have no choice but to live with it.
Btw, I didn't keep up with their relationship, so I wasn't aware of him choking her to near death.
@jasonwl@xanga - people can take and hide abuse. It's not the woman's fault. So that still makes you a fucktard.
damn. who taught chris brown to "love" with his fists.
@soniiuh@xanga - second.
@ShimmerBodyCream@xanga - The woman was blind for not seeing that in him early, before getting into that relationship. It's visible in the guy's personality.
An aside, insults tend to be hypocritical by their own definition and the given usage. Some being exceptions, not any I've received.
haha, thats like saying "daddy says 'i love you' with a belt"
just doesnt fly.
His statement might be true. People who grow up in abusive families tend to see that as just a part of life. Doesn't excuse him, but I think he should be rehabilitated and sent to a psychologist.
