So I realize that this may seem like a ridiculous question. First of all, who cares about The Real World, right? Second of all, why should something like this be a deal breaker when it comes to a relationship?
Well, this season's The Real World: Cancun features twenty year old Jonna and her constant struggle of remaining loyal to her long term boyfriend Matt from back home. For those of you who haven't kept up with the show this season, Jonna is a very flirtatious girl who has had encounters with three different men on the show thus far. She cuddled with CJ, had Kirk sleep over, and kissed Pat. After dating these various men and leading her boyfriend on, she finally broke up with him in the last episode. This situation has been very controversial for many viewers who have strong opinions on Jonna's infidelity. I have to say, I feel the same way. Jonna has spent most of the season defending herself and her relationship, saying again and again that cheating is not inevitable and that she will remain loyal. It got my own SO and I thinking--would we stay together if one of us went on the show?
The answer was no, we wouldn't. It just seems like in most cases, no matter how dedicated you and your SO are, something ends up happening over the course of the season that is unfair and disloyal. What are your thoughts? Would you date someone on The Real World?

no. people who want to be on real world have a craving for fame and like to waste their time on a doomed excursion, all at your expense and someone else's enjoyment. and you don't even get paid. talk about not being able to set your priorities.
@XoAsianBabioX@xanga - Agreed.
I don't care so much for the so-called reality show world. They're all so pretentious.
most likely no.
she and matt only dated for two months or something. so it wasn't big of a deal.
that's one of the "reasons" she is giving to defend herself from thursday's show. lol.
xo
probably not. all those people casted on those shows are all stereotypical. they really don't share any identities of their own, and they're embarrassing themselves and their families right on national television.
the last/best season was The Real World: San Diego. after that, it became stupid. i haaaate MTV
Uh, no.
i don't watch the real world, but i definetly wouldn't date someone who's on the real world or be on the real world for that matter. if you've been in a long term relationship, why would you set yourself up for something like this? the real world is known for it's scandalous situations and such. you know you'll probably be drinking, going out, so there is a lot of potential and much opportunity to be unfaithful to your partner.
Nooooope!
HELL NO! I wouldn't date a guy on it or who would be on it.
Oh God, after seeing this episode AND what's to come?
No, no, no, no, no, NO, and NO. Hahahahanever heard of it?
dont think it airs down here in australia :O
x
I don't wathc that show. I don't think I'd date anyone who was on any kind of reality show.
Honestly, I would for a hookup lol
Wait, are we talking about when they are on the show? Or after? I would possibly date someone after it. Probably not on it. Maybe for the hookup. But they gotta blur out my face LOL
that show seems to put people in relationships into situations where not cheating is almost impossible. even if you start out with the best intentions, people have needs and the show isn't exactly brief. plus it needs ratings, and relationships where people are happy and perfect don't exactly reign the viewers in. it's unrealistic, i think, for most almost anyone, to remain faithful on that show. so i might give it the old college try by staying with a guy who has to go on the show, but i doubt i'd be optimistic about it lasting.
Nope! :D.
@XoAsianBabioX@xanga - exactly.
but seriously, did you have to use THAT picture,
She looks horrible there.
I'd like these WYD posts to stop now please. Or at LEAST slow down so there are at least posts between them WORTH reading. One after the other is getting a little out of hand "WYD someone who ate cheese? WYD someone older than you? WYD someone who didn't like your shoes? WYD someone who always wore a particle mask??"
SERIOUSLY!!!
@XoAsianBabioX@xanga - totally agree.
I might date someone who HAD BEEN on the Real World. But if I was with someone, and they were like, yeah, I'm auditioning for Real World, I'd be like, "So, you know this is the end for us, right?"
Lol, but if he was already on there, [because there have been some hotties on that show] then whatever, it's cool.
Well, i'd date joey from cancun. He's a cutie.
I think it would be very hard to date someone on the show and I doubt I would do it. I hear these contestants are usually bored and often going out. I imagine that would stir up a lot of temptation.
