There comes a time when you think to yourself, "I'm too old for this shit..." and that time for me happened when I was asked to go clubbing with some girlfriends. As always, the place is overcrowded and the line is so long you think they were handing out free food at a refugee camp.
Here were some of the factors that made the experience bad:
Idiot Guys - Why do you feel the need to wear sunglasses inside a dark club? It's not cool and you're practically blind causing you to bump into people left and right, probably resulting in a fight. Maybe they were hiding a black eye they received from wearing them the night before.
Silly Girls - Okay, granted they must be young but there comes a point in life where you must learn the word "excuse me" or you may just get bitch slapped. I know what you're thinking,...maybe they were drunk? Well, put it this...when I was at Jade Terrace, this girl was drunk to the point of passing out and kept bumping into me and yet she was still able to utter the words "I'm sorry I bumped into you, please excuse me..." So there really is no excuse for it.
Party Gropers - Seriously, porn is not that expensive, and if you really need to get your kicks on the cheap way, go on the Internet. Never in my life have I been groped so badly while trying to walk around to look for my friends. Back in the days, people would lay their hands on your shoulder to signal they need to pass. Then a few years back, I notice they started to rest their hands on your waist or lower back to signal they need to pass. Nowadays, they rest their hands on your butts to signal they need to pass. I swear, next year their hands will probably end up at your crotch to signal they need to pass.
Annoying DJs - Let's get this straight. People are there to listen to your music and dance, NOT your voice. So just shut the fuck up and play the god damn song! And please, please, get some equipment to do voice overs if you sound like your balls are caught in your zippers.
What have you experienced that made you say "I'm too old for this shit"?

lol.
You should add the "Driver" to this list
The Driver:
The guy who randomly comes over from behind, drops his arm on your shoulder, with his hand extended in front of your face and pretends you're a car and "steers" thinking he's bad ass. Idiots.
haha i've never been a fan of clubs -- and now you've cemented my position lol - once in a while you'll have to go for some friend's birthday or what not, but usually I like to stay away.
Girls at my bar...they're extremely immature. They always call people sluts 'n shit whenever they get cock-blocked, even though they don't know the people AT ALL...so then they start this drama for the next few years. I always think "I'm too old for this shit" whenever they try to pretend to act tough, but they're nothin' but talk.
People makin' up rumors at the bars...it's like are you for serious, rumors are so 8th grade.
The only time I say, "I'm too old for this shit" is when I go to 18+ clubs. Some of my friends aren't 21 yet, so sometimes when we go clubbing, we go to 18+ clubs. It's somewhat annoying at times, but eh... I manage to have fun. I'm 21 so I try to go to 21+ clubs instead and the atmosphere is better. I don't think "I'm too old for this shit" yet. =D
i stopped going to clubs a long time ago, it's not how it used to be when i was 19. ha, i don't know it died out for me. i get bored and/or annoyed at how people behave once consumed with alcohol.
I really don't belong in clubs.
1. too loud
2. don't like rap/hip hop/r&b(the more popular it is the more it sucks)
3. don't like to dance.
Overall, going to clubs is pretty lame and I try and avoid it at all costs
Lol? Sounds like a 40 year old is pissed off after his/her first experience in a night club. LAWWWWL PHAIL.
let me be the first to thank you for not bitching about guys hitting on girls. after all, that's the real reason clubs exist.
I LOVE this post. I am always in the club scene so I know how you feel!
Lets see. I hate the juiceheads that just have to take off their shirts and flaunt their sweaty juice muscles. They bump into you and start groping you. Meh.
The girls that take a million pictures. I admit. I take a lot of pictures. But I've seen girls take pictures until their camera dies. Thats a bit much.
The guys that will follow you in the club until you dance with them. I HATE that. And if you do dance with them, they still follow you. DO NOT FOLLOW ME.
End rant =)
Lol, I don't like clubbing.
I have never been to a club, never hav. Specifically to avoid such things as you mentioned.
lol i have never even gone to clubs and i turn 19 inabit over a week. Because I'm not allowed to and I choose not to. Maybe I'll go once for the experience. But if you think about it, it's the same people that's going. It's crowded, and it cost you a lot of money. I really don't see the point of it really. I never did
Ew, I just turned 18 and I don't think I'll be going to any clubs. High school dances were enough to deter me for all time.
Annoying DJs that think that they can sing. Mmmmyeah I don't really enjoy clubbing. Dancing is fun though. Maybe I should wait until I'm 21.
hahaha. I know exactly what you mean.
I think there needs to be a section for rude girls who think they can take up all the room they want and keep bumping into you because their butts are so big.
There are also the creepers who silently creep up behind you and starts dancing. *shudders*
hahaha, this hits clubs TOTHETEE.
i love clubbing, but more for the music & dancing.
and true, i HATE it when the DJ randomly sings over the mic to the song.
it wrecks it for me, but my gf's and i just love laughing at him.
skanks. the skanks in clubs annoy me.. but then again, i'm too busy dancing to care about them. what annoys me most are the creepy leering men who stand in the back, in the shawdows, watching the girls dance. just thinking of them causes my spine to shiver.
jfahsfjk. great post :)
@TheNotoriousGOD@xanga - and this is all I gotta say about that...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJsQcnB6GC0i agree with this post 100%. I'm only 25 but by the time I graduated from college 2 years ago I was already burnt out on clubs. My favorite place to go to now is called Glass Cactus, its right on the lake and is part of the Gaylord Texan Hotel. Its classy, has a giant dance floor downstairs with a great DJ on stage and sometimes really good live music, 2 bars downstairs inside and 1 outside, and upstairs has another bar inside with a balcony overlooking the lake. Upstairs is where I usually am at a VIP table (i'm not a high roller or anything just know the managers since h.s.). The place is wide open and from anywhere upstairs you can see the stage and dance floor and its not stupid loud. You can have a good conversation without screaming and most of the d-bags stay down on the dancefloor to get their grope on. Its a good place for someone who feels like they're ''too old'' for the club scene to still have fun going out but not deal with the crappy stuff mentioned above.
@roooosah@xanga - Awww I should have definitely added a "Douche-Bag" section. Never mind the girls bumping into you, how about the girls flipping their long hair and it's hitting your face, landing in your drink and if you're sweaty...sticking to your back! Ack!!!
annoying DJ's! yes! especially the ones who feel the need to "pump up the crowd," make you "raise you hands," or some other shit before they'll play the freaking song.
you forgot drink-spillers. ooooh, i hate drink-spillers. and douchey guys who grind on you out of nowhere.
yes...all those reasons are why I think clubs are a tad overrated.
doesn`t everyone bump into everyone because it`s so crowded though?
@MissPixieGlitter@xanga - LMFAO YEAH! drink spillers =/ i hate them. there are also those guys who grab your hand and don`t let go till you slap them.
@MissPixieGlitter@xanga - You are so right! That's why I stopped wearing my nice designer stuff to clubs...thank god for Forever 21!
