I was watching Wall*E, and hit upon this question: Are Wall*E and Eve dating? Or are they just friends?
I'm inclined to think they were just friends, because they're robots. But then, surely Wall*E must have known on 'Hello Dolly' that the two people were in love. He's a pretty smart robot.
The holding hands indicates that the two are in love, as do the chapter titles for the movie and the spark 'kiss' between the two.
For my part, I believe the two are in love, they just don't realize it. Wall*E just knows to show affection by holding Eve's hand.
Also, John and Mary. When John's hand touches Mary's, what causes Mary's reaction?
What do you think?

They're definitely dating. Wall-E was enamored with Eve the moment he saw her!
I LOVE THIS MOVIE. :)
Wall-E and Eve are totally in love. It's so cute.
I love Wall-E as much as anyone else, but wtf Datingish.
@C0ll33Ncorps@xanga - HAHA I know! What kind of topic is this? Of course they're dating.
I love that movie.. yeah, Wall-E & Eve are dating. It's kinda obvious. Why is this post on Datingish?!
definitely not a fan. i think this is one of pixars worst. toy story and monsters inc FTW.
It's adorable, guys!!! Who cares that it's not the most typical Datingish post! >.<
You're thinking way too much into it. They're in love.
Eve "robot kissed" Wall-E. So cute.
@caminjammers@xanga - I agree. I felt like I wasted very precious moments of my life on this one.
Also, are stories running on low for this site??
@Luvlystarr@xanga - you're the first person to agree with me haha.
@Luvlystarr@xanga - @caminjammers@xanga - Wow, I didn't even think it was possible for people to hate this movie.
Anyway, it wasn't obvious they were in love? That was the motivation for nearly everything Wall-E did, and I thought it was terribly sweet. Wall-E and Eve are my favorite fictional couple, and I just about died when I heard there would be a sequence with them in Disneyland's new World of Color water show.
Aw, they vwere totally dating. :)
def love :) so cute!
This is the best animation movie ever to me.
They are in love. Wall-E shows his love to her by holding her hand.
As for Mary and John, I think Mary got a reaction because people on the Axiom are too tuned to their own little utopia, and when they both had this little "human touch" thingy, she just thought it was very, well, I can't find another word but human?
My page is themed with Wall-e and Eve! I wrote a whole post about how they're the ideal couple!
They're in love. Anyone who disagrees can take it up with me in a fist fight.
They are a couple, probably around the end. what girl in her right mind would not want to be played old waltzes, and be given the only living plant on earth? (looks around Datingish) Anybody?
Cute movie. They are in love. [:
@caminjammers@xanga - Agreed. Although I prefer Finding Nemo to Toy Story.
I'd say they are a couple
WALL-E! I love that movie. But just for fun my friend and I like to poke fun/analyze random movies. Did anyone notice the little subtext in there? Like how Eve had to go into hibernation to take care of the only life form? (not to mention her name is EVE and regardless of whether you believe in the bible we all know the story) and while she was in hibernation, Wall-e wrapped some christmas lights around her and pulled her around on a leash! LOL we acted like we were appalled but we got a nice little chuckle out of that.Â
anyway there's always some subtext in those pixar movies. The Incredibles is totally obviousÂ
@xxquarterlifecrisisxx@xanga - yeah finding nemo is high up on my list too.
Love the movie. I think they're dating & its so cute :)
I think you need a hobby. :P
But yes, haha, Wall*E and Eve are totally in love. He loved her from the first moment he saw her.
Mary and John totally had sparks too.
