Sweet talkers win our hearts like there's no tomorrow. They know what to say at the right time, right place, right ear, with the right touch or flirty move to go along with it.
Yes, it's always flattering and ego boosting to have a girl or guy say, "You look nice today", "Wow! You're such a great kisser" or "I've never met anyone as nice/amazing you before". I know. Big awww! But have you ever thought about if all this sweet talking was just to get into your pants? Or just to get you hooked on them only to find out they've been with their boyfriend/girlfriend for the past two years?
I've had my fair share of sweet talking guys come up to me like I'm an antelope in the safari and they're the cheetahs waiting to attack. Jumping right to saying "You're beautiful! Omg! Why are you single with that smokin' body?" I think "Aww. What a nice guy! So what's the catch?" Only to soon after hear "So... How about me and you **words too unfit for blogging.**" I always see it coming. Especially lately. I thought having a baby would scare guys away, but now they're on me like white on rice! I guess they all think I'm easy since apparently I'm a "MILF" now. (Yes, someone called me that as if I was supposed to be flattered) =/

Sweet talkers end up talking dirty - because lovers are never satisfied until they kiss-and-tell.
It's like catcalling. I guess sometimes it's nice to be flattered, but vivid descriptions of "what I would do to you" is not appealing.
Well, I get the occasional sweet talker, but I normally get catcalls.
Once and a while, it's kinda cute and it makes me feel like, "Wow, that guy honked his horn cuz he thought I was hot." But when it gets down to them yelling out the window about how much they want me to jump in the back of their truck and go back to their place, it's not only gross and annoying, but kinda scary.

idk i always get irritated, but depending on the day im having and how funny or cute the sweet talker is ill laugh and or say thanks. gotta give em credit for trying!

Usually try to remember to tell them to "Eff Off", but we all have our downfalls.
It's amazing that they continue to do the Sweet Talk Tango, quite frankly. Apparently no one has ever told them how transparent they are. Like when a dude offers to give you a massage! Give me a break!

my boyfriend was a TOTAL sweet talker before we started dating and i called it out on him every time, i was like "you're a sweet talker and i dont believe your shit for one minute, you're a player" he admited to once being a player but he saw what he wanted in me, someoen to settle down with, so i guess it can be sincere SOMETIMES but still, i wouldnt fall for it .. i just got lucky that mine wasnt bull shitting i guess haha ... :D

I've been known to be flattered easily, sense I've never been one to recieve really nice compliments; but I don't really trust sweet talkers. My boyfriend isn't that big of one, but when he does it's like, amazing. lol. I don't know. I guess it's just one of those bittersweet deals. You just have to know how to tell the sweet talking sweeties from the jerks.

My sweetheart was quite the sweettalker. He did have his teenage man-whorish days, I guess, and at first I'm sure his sweet words were to only get in my pants. But I guess he eventually really did start meaning the things he said because we've been together for months now and he still hasn't gotten into my pants hahah.
But yeah, I do still get guys doing the "Hey pretty lady ;)" talk to me. I don't even try to play along, I just tell them to shut up, and that I have a boyfriend. xp

depends on when the sweet talk occurs- if they do it at the beginning, then obviously it's just empty words, but if the guy you love and are in a committed relationship with is a sweet-talker, you've really lucked out!
i usually just blow it off for the first couples months until i believe they really mean it

i fell for a sweet talker and ended up being used. as much as i have a weakness for sweet talkers, now i tend to stay away from them. ugh, it makes me mad. how could i be so stoopid.
