Your Name Is A Turnoff
I know it's very superficial to think someone's name is a turn-off but sometimes...
Just sometimes, there should be a list of names that parents just should NOT name their children after.
Has anyone ever had this experience? Where you met someone that had a name that you would snicker at when he/she isn't looking at?
Here's my list:
Boys (lucky I was not named any of those):
Barry/Berry, Earl, Willie/Willy/Willis, Rod/Roddie/Ronnie, Woody, Ernest/Erny, Walter/Waldo/Wade, Bob/Bobby

I am VERY namist. I do judge people based on their name. I was eh about dating a Hannah...
Weirdd haha. As long as the guy's cute and he can rock that name, I'm fine with it. Who'd turn down a hottie with a lame-ass name? It's like he'd redefine that name for you.
In high school, I dated an Alberto. That was killer.
Old lady names on people my age bothers me.
And the name Dick. It's very hard not to laugh at a guy who's name is Dick.

i think the name baby is funny as well. my mom's friend is called baby and she's 40+ years old i think..
Earl? I think Earl is a cute name.

Also, guys shouldn't be named Leslie, Shannon, or any other girl name.
My Spanish teacher once told me about a woman who named all her children after reproductive organs. That's the worst.

I don't think I could ever date a dude named Maynard. I mean, really, how does a parent decide that's a good idea?

i think that you could be missing out on something great just because someone's name doesn't appeal to you. I mean, there are names out there that i hear and i'm like, ohh that poor person.. but really when it comes down to it, its not the persons name that makes them, its their personality. So i think getting over the name thing is a good idea...
I like the name Woody. I know a Woody. He was the coolest nerd in middle school.

Honestly, I don't really care what a person's name is. Plus, even if someone has a lame name, but a nice personality, their name tends to seem better with time.
