Jack and Jill
I was at a bar this weekend when a random guy started talking to me. When we introduced ourselves, he told me that his girlfriend and I share the same name. How ironic, I thought! That is, until he elaborated. He held up his right hand so that I was facing the back of it, and spread his fingers as if he were using his hand to say "five." "See?" he said.
Yes. I did see it.
The thumb, and the curve of the thumb to the top of the index finger makes the "J". The middle finger is the "I' and the ring finger and pinky finger works for the two "L's" to spell my name, Jill.
It didn't take me long to realize what this guy was implying. According to him, every guy has "Jill" (his right hand) to help him you-know-what.
I guess "Jack" and Jill really do go together.

In Spanish, "Mano" means Hand, and "Manuela" is a womans name. Its not uncommon to ask a guy what he did on the weekend and his response is "I just spend the night with Manuela".

My guy friends told me their best friend was Jill and I got a little hurt. They then laughed at me and held up their hands. When I still didn't get it they spelled it out for me. Yeah . . . they laughed at my facial expression for the longest of times.
