Don't Guys Want REAL Girls?
I was having lunch with a friend today when an attractive guy caught our attention. My friend was noticeably blushing and after much coercion, told me that they work in the same office. I told her to go for him! He was single, she was single, they should totally make babies, or whatever people in relationships do….She freaked out. She said that guys like him don’t go for girls like her. She pointed out that she doesn’t wear makeup, picks at her nails, and never plans to have her underwear match her bra.
Who cares? Who says that attractive women should wear make up, have manicures and pedicures, and always dress to be prepared for sex!
If I were a guy I would think that you would want a REAL GIRL. The kind that doesn’t leave red lipstick on your lips when you kiss her, the kind that doesn’t leave blush on your shirt when you hug her, the kind that doesn’t get her fake eyelashes stuck on your chest hair when you snuggle at night. The kind of girl that doesn’t wake up looking like a crackwhore in the morning cause “her face isn’t on yet”.
I’m not advocating love for women who don’t take care of themselves, but hygiene does not have to mean your own “ozone destruction” kit of hairspray in the bathroom. I myself can't live without lip gloss or lip balm, I hate peeling skin on my lips. And no offense to girls who engage in the above named practices, I’m just simply trying to say that girls should not be made to feel less than AMAZING just because she doesn’t live up to a picture in a magazine.
I’m sure you’ve heard that "real women have curves", but here’s another one for your Facebook profile: real women have cute freckles, unique facial moles, personalized lips, and at least one pair of underwear with a strange inexplicable hole.
What do you think a real woman is? I would love to hear from guys….

I'm sorry, but the girl in the picture isn't gorgeous or anything.
Anyways. Um. Yeah. I've never had a guy say anything negative to me about how I don't wear makeup or whatever. Or even girls. I don't think it really matters, as long as you're clean and don't smell bad, you know?

Real girls are not imaginary.
a real woman knows how to take care of herself, inside and out. Men like women who take care of themselves, and men like hot, confident women, simple as that. how does your friend know that she's not his type? has she asked him. the truth is, she probably uses her natural look to justify herself. the truth is, she probably thinks he's out of his league. please don't be offended.
My girl looks 100 times better then the one in the picture and she is real... so yeah this guy likes a real girl!
Boys like confidence. Real or not (whatever "not" may be), you should be confident enough about yourself before you even start going for guys.
I don't see anything wrong with putting on a little makeup as long as it's not caked on. But one thing I hate is the fake eyelashes.
A guy can either have a WoW character (aka a fake girl) or a human girl (aka a real girl). I think we all know which one they'd go for.
Yeah, I don't really like girls who seem to go for the clown look with all their make up. Tanning is the worst. So many girls tan themselves to the point where they look just awful. I'd rather date a pale girl than a girl who gets her tan from a bed.
yeah my boyfriend says i don't need make-up, and i'm finally starting to believe him :] i haven't worn it in weeks and i'm starting to love myself au natural. which is amazing because i've been dependent on heavy make-up since i was 15 years old . it's so nice not to have to worry about it anymore :]
I never had a big liking for makeup. And oh, the girl in the photo IS beautiful.

I love girls that don't wear make up, or very little. It's that natural beauty that strikes me. As for matching underwear, guys don't fall for girls that have undergarments that match. If anything, by the time we realize that they're mismatched, we've got other things going on in our minds that override it.
To be honest, I just think your friend is just shy and doesn't want to face possible rejection.
i don't think girls who wear lots of makeup are fake women. we are all real.. some may act fake to impress others, but that's personality. and if a guy really likes you, he likes the little imperfections that set you apart from other people (the way girls like unique things about their guy.) so he will find those freckles cute, because it's on you and they are yours. you know? but generalizing and saying women who do themselves up are fake isn't right either, i don't think.

I can understand that some guys don't like "REAL girls" because they're more comfortable with their fantasies, and they chase them in real life while they can. As for you "REAL girls" out there, look for the men who are mature enough to not go chasing dreams like boys, and are lucky enough to be free for you. :Þ
"Real" are those that feel comfortable as themselves without feeling the need to dress up and put on makeup. The ones that are "down to earth" and not just only out to play the game.
people born with female genitalia are anatomically "real girls;" gender identity is a completely different story.
but natural beauty is totally better.

Most times, I can't stand makeup on chicks. They always seem to use way more than is necessary. I would prefer a girl that is just herself (but, yes, good hygiene is a must!)

If a woman wants to wear makeup to feel beautiful then I say go for it, if she doesnt I dont see her any less REAL. I prefer women who wear little to no makeup, it shows their true beauty, and as the guy..you know you're falling in love with something real. On that note, I still like women who wear a little makeup, because it shows that they still care about their appearance, but dont need to raid the MAC store to be perceived as beautiful. True beauty will always lie within, the exterior beauty is just the icing on the cake. That's just my .02
