Do Lefties Love Differently?
Reader jkxas noticed that she's dated a handful of left-handed guys and wonders if there's a difference between lefties and righties, romantically speaking. In her experiences, the southpaws she dated were more interested in sex than their right-handed counterparts:This may come has a general bias - but I've known a handful of left-handed males to make me wonder, does being left-handed really create a distinctness between the "normal" males (right-handed) and the "not so normal" (left-handed) ones.
Let's start with two males I've dated that were very similar.
SL was a mix - caucasian and japanese. Loved the color green. And lived promiscuously (a man-whore).
KD was also a mix, but less intense, chinese and vietnamese, so I suppose more "asian". Also loved the color green (I'm not making this up), and claimed to live promiscuously (which I later found out was lies and he was a virgin because he had erectile dysfunction).Second scenario - two distinct male friends that were left-handed
AY wanted to girlfriends no matter what, and any chance given wanted to have sex
MC enjoyed talking sexually and asked very sexual questions everytime we had a chance to talkThird scenario - "boyfriend" of a friend
XX (not sure his name) made my friend the "other girl" by not cutting all ties w/ his "ex" girlfriend.Coincidence or needy/dependent and likes to make themself seem better than others? Did they all seem to enjoy sex more than the opposite sex? or perhaps they just didn't hide it as well as the right-handed males. Or did I just have this odd luck where I meet the more absurd ones?
I'm a lefty and have dated people of both dexterities...I think they were different because of their personalities, not the hand they wrote with. But [shrug] maybe I'm missing something. Fun fact: my dad was born more leftily inclined and was smacked by nuns at school for writing with his "devil" hand. Now he writes with his right hand but still keeps some of his lefty tendencies.
Have you dated people of both dexterities? Is there really a difference?

YES! The guy I dated before the one I'm with now was a righty and was a virgin and my boyfriend now, a lefty, wants to have sex all the time! I also dated someone who was ambidextrous and he was somewhere in the middle. I don't actually think It has to do with anything but it is funny to look at that way.
Okay, this blog confused me to no end. Maybe that's just me, but anyways, I'm left handed so I'm gonna agree with this 100%
i'm left handed too and i have this fetish for left handers as well. firstly because i find them unique and the way they write or do things with left hand, i find it sexy haha. maybe it's just me that feels this way
wow that's funny. I'm learning to write with my left hand, so will I learn to love differently? (I'm guessing no b/c I wasn't a "natural" lefty). And does the same go for right footed and left footed? What happens to the right-handed and left footed peoples? haha.
I know some friends that were born left-handed, and at school (this is in Japan), they wanted all the people to write with their right hand- so my friends ended up being right-handed and forgot how to write with their left.
But I think it's just personalities, not which hand you write (lik you said). But who knows, maybe someone will find out that lefties like sex more than righties, lol.
I am a left-handed male, and I think that I have to protest. Being a southpaw, I'm not that sexually inclined. I mean, sure, I get my fair share of urges, but I'm not some sex monger. My girlfriend can attest to that. If anything, we left handers, I think, are more sensual and passionate. I could be wrong, cause I don't date left-handed guys, nor do I know a lot of other leftys. But still. Your experiences are with sex hungry fiends, and therefore you've become biased.
I'm pretty sure all the guys I've dated have been right-handed. I am a lefty myself (yay) and I don't meet a lot of other left handed people.
There are some personality traits that people claim are specific to which hand you use, which side of your brain you use (left or right), your zodiac sign etc but I don't know if I believe it. I don't think I love any differently than right handed people. If I love differently it's because of my overall personality.
The difference I do know is that I'm living in a world that is slowly making products to make my life easier. I sometimes still have to ask right handed people to cut with scissor for me lol

I don't think there is that much of a difference just because of their handedness.
my boyfriend is a lefty and lately he wants a break from sex because he thinks that its all we do. my righty exboyfriend would just sit back and enjoy the sex without complaining ;] so i think there might be a difference haha
I'm left handed and the very opposite of promiscuous.
I'm a righty and I find myself attracted to lefties, righties, and guys that are ambidextrous. It doesn't really matter for me cuz I don't see any pattern.

I've heard of left-handed people being creative, but even that's a stretch.

I'm a lefty and haven't heard anyone mention that theory to me before. I'm sure the correlation really wouldn't be that high. Other factors most likely play a bigger part.
Unless it's some proven scientific discovery, I'll take note.
I wouldn't be surprised if lefties were to interact with situations differently than righties. How many scientific tests were done on brain hemispheres and the like? Sometimes the mind is just different for lefties. To say that sexual urges are different seems kind of a stretch, though. As someone else said before, I'd probably go as far as saying they're just more sensual and passionate, but not out of control. Btw, I'm a lefty myself.
Don't all men want sex? Or are my experiences bizarre?
@Meowmeowkimmaee@xanga - Scientists believe that lefties are likely to be more creative because the right side of the brain, which is used to control the left hand's writing, is more developed. The right hemisphere is also connected to creativity. Of course, scientists can look for any correlation between relatively random data.
I don't see how lefty or righty has anything to do with love.
