Okay, so on the
FML post this past week, it came to my attention that at least 40 of you are still die-hard Pokemon fans, whether you admit it or not. WHO KNEW?
I can't recite the entire Pokérap or anything, but I do have a
favorite episode, owned a Togepi shirt at one point that I wore to gymnastics...and I have a Surfing Pikachu card (supa-rare) on my desk thanks to
one of my fellow Xangans. I do not think my boyfriend knows this. He does now that it's posted (hi!) but I don't think I have mentioned any sort of affinity for Pokémon over the past ten months and change.
There are all these weird little factoids you learn about your SO as you date - he found out I was raised on Schoolhouse Rock and Kool-Aid; I found out that he was a big hacky sack kid in high school and will eat almost anything. I know I still don't know everything about him, but I'm excited to find out more strange things and go "WAIT WHAT NO WAY" more loudly than I should.
Maybe she insists on eating standing up or he has to pace while he talks on the phone...what kinds of strange (okay, I guess we can call them unique) things have you learned about your SO or crush?

If he's on the phone talking to someone, or in the room with someone while we're talking on msn and I say "Say "hi" for me," he won't. This is something he says he cannot do whenever people say that because it "feels too weird." haha. Oh well, good thing he's awesome anyways.
Will chew on office supplies, straws, pieces of plastic. Doesn't like for the dog to look at him or be in the room when we're eating. Likes burn-outs in the rain and the giant inflatable knockers someone gave him as a child.
He drives with one hand on his chin as if he's thinking & not concentrating on the road [maybe he's concentrating on concentrating on the road :\]; love's listening to Miley Cyrus - The Climb & listens to it repetitively [WTFFF :))]; im really close to my family while he's the exact opposite.. his brother lives nearby, but they don't talk or do things together [they're not fighting or anything... it's just unnatural for them to just.. talk :|] .. his best friend is closer to his brother than him.. i only find this strange because i'm a big family girl; he spends crazy amounts of money on little things [maybe i'm just stingey lol]; his generosity astounds me sometimes.

Mind you, this dude is a car buff. Knows what he's talking about. Knows what he's fixing. Works out at the gym, barbecues, does offside racing, raised in a broken family.
The thing that made me go "OH WAIT WHAT NO WAY?!" was that when he was 6, he begged his mother to enroll him into acting classes for a couple years. And that it was all his choice. It was a big surprise for me because he never told me and he knows I was in my middle school drama club (and loved it as the tech manager / videographer).

My last SO was a giant dork, but I met her at work and there's no way I could've known otherwise in the office everyone in suits and business attire talking about boring adult work things. I get the girl outside of work and she's a huge hiphop head/drum and base enthusiast, loves old school Nintendo, smokes weed on occasion, spends a lot of time on newgrounds.com watching tasteless flash animations, can't get enough boardgames... and writes music. like... pencils in the notes on sheets.\
No one at work was any the wiser... not even her "work friends". She even made me swear not to out her.

I don't have a crush or a SO though, so I actually have nothing to contribute about the subject of this post..
Well, I guess I could go with my "Facebook husband." I just found out the other day that he wears a St. Christopher pendant/charm like I do (he lives in the UK and I don't). That was a pretty cool "WAIT WHAT?" moment.

I never liked Poke'mon... I never understood why it was such a big deal to so many people. *shrug* I STILL don't get it.
I've recently learned that my bf is contemplating of quitting his current position within his company to become a professional poker player. +_+ On the side note, I also just learned that inspite his good looks, he's not photogenic. HAHAHAHA

I would write things down about my SO...But I don't think I'd have enough space. Hahaha. (: He's just very special. lol.
He likes playing with my hair (on the head! Get ur mind out of the gutter! Jkk)
He takes few strands then run it in between his fingers. It was weird at first but now I jst got used to it. Kinda cute sometimes! Lol
Past, but still worthy of noting: using a little brush to remove the dust from the laptop screen before using and using a special cloth to wipe smudges and stuff, then keeping those cleaning items in their own tiny plastic case.

he dances in the car. and i don't mean anything small, swaying side to side, or bobbing his head to the beat... i mean he tries to full out booty-dance while we're in the car. he loves listening to pop/hip hop (which is surprising for a manly country boy) and when we go out, all the girls want to dance with him, because he can totally break it down. we dated in high school, and back then he had two left feet, but when we got back together recently i found out he'd gotten his groove. and now he can't be stopped.
he'd say the weird WTF? moment for him was when he found out i was a hardcore sailor moon fan and i had to BEG HIM not to tell any of his friends. they would have died laughing.
Where do I even start? He oozes weirdness. ;)
my bf has the ability to squirt saliva outta his mouth. is that strange? i think it is.
He loves Dexter's Lab and was mad when they canceled the show ( I think its really cute) and nursed a baby bullfrog one night when it rained heavily.
And fed squirrels when nobody was looking.
And ate frog on a dare.
And the list is extensive :)
He names his guns and cars. haha. that might sound a little obsessive. but he's not. I think it's adorable.
And when he's buttering his toast or bread the butter has to be completely even. He usually has his mom do it because it takes him so long. haha. and I think that's adorable to. It's fun to watch him do that. he's that way with a lot of his food too. and he's extremely picky.
...okay, I won't lie, the only reason I'm commenting is because I saw that picture and immediately exploded into some form of "OMG THAT'S A-MAZING!" :3 I saved it. It is my new favorite picture in my cool random things folder.
As for my bf, ..*thinks*...I knew him really well for a year before we started dating 3 months ago, so as of right now nothing really comes to mind. XD Of course that could be because we're kind of equally strange.
:c Okay, I thought of one thing. It's horrifying. He likes the newest Pokemon games. I am the Pokemon purist over here. If it's not as old as me it's not good. I rant about those games. He disappoints me so! XD (I love you very very very much honey.) ...(Not that he's likely to see this. XD )
I still have over 100 Pokemon cards.
Anyway, my former crush (whom I lived in the dorm across from) flips out in his sleep if you say his name, sleepwalks, and eats so much food because he has an insanely high metabolism and radiates a lot of heat. He also occasionally enjoys dressing as a girl for the shock factor (he's completely and utterly straight). During these adventures, he's gotten hit on/checked out by other guys several times. I must say, he does have nicely sculpted legs.
