Swimming Pool + Girl = Immaculate Conception, Says Mom
via Anorak News: Polish holidaymaker Magdalena Kwiatkowska says her daughter, age 13, fell pregnant from the swimming pool in their Egyptian hotel.

While infertile women flock to the resort, Magdalena Kwiatkowska is seeking compensation from the hotel.

Mum says “stray sperm” in the pool are the reason her child is with child.

“The mother is adamant that her daughter didn’t meet any boys while she was there and is determined to go ahead with the case,” says one travel industry source.

Okay, honestly, this is like "the dog ate my homework" to an extreme level, and I think it's going to come out soon (just like Star Tattoo Girl) that the girl lied because she was scared and didn't want to get in trouble, etc., etc., etc. Still, it makes me sad that this is a lawsuit - if you messed up, admit it and stop blaming someone else! Argh.

According to AmericanPregnancy.org, "it is not likely that tiny sperm could travel through the vast area of water that would fill a pool, bath tub or hot tub to reach the vagina and result in pregnancy. If ejaculation occurred in plain warm water, sperm could survive for a few minutes. If ejaculation occurs in very hot water, or water filled with pool chemicals, bubbles or other substances, sperm would not be able to survive for more than a few seconds. Pregnancy occurring from this is very unlikely and in most cases is not possible at all."

What would your parents say if you told them you got pregnant from a pool? I think my dad would be, like, "oic..." and then "have I met this young male 'swimming pool'?"

If I told my parents that they'd just kill me anyways.
Also, that girl and her mother are both bitches. They're inconvienencing the hotel and its workers because they're too concerned about their repuatation and looking bad in front of others. (It's too bad for them this makes them look stupid anyways)

This story is equally sad and gross. It's really sad to hear about a girl who's so young getting pregnant. The pregnancy will wreck her physically and mentally. Also, if she didn't get pregnant from the pool, what (I guess I should say "who") did get her pregnant? Disturbing.
Also, the long description about ejaculating in pools made me throw up a little in my mouth.

This is so stupid..

How are they so sure that it's the hotel? Maybe the a gust of wind impregnated her. Maybe she sat (..naked..) on a chair that impregnated her. Maybe she's just going to have the second Jesus. I love how they just jump straight to the pool conclusion.. all the others make just as much sense !

Did the daughter claim it was the pool, or did the mother come up with this ridiculous explanation on her own? Either way - it's absurd. Lets say it did really happen - that a stray sperm somehow found it's way into her vagina, how is it the hotel's fault if some guy ejaculated in the pool!?
