My Teacher Said We Were Going to Get Married - WHAT?
All right... I'm kind of in a situation that I am totally unsure what to do.There's a guy that I like, he was in one of my classes. I really like him, and I believe that if we got together a lot would come out of it. My teacher came to me, like, a week before the end of school and told me the following: she said that she has some sort of psychic abilities and that she sees me and this guy together, in marriage, with a daughter named Madeline Elizabeth and that the baby would be born seven weeks early. A few things are creeping me out:
1) I was very discreet about liking this guy. I don't like to make it obvious; I am kind of shy when it comes to that. I don't know if she picked up on it or if she really is psychic.
2) I was at a friend's house a couple nights before this conversation, and we were all kinda bored so we began talking about what we would name our children. I had said that I would probably name my kid Madeline if I were ever to have a little girl someday. There is no possible way that my teacher could have known this. None whatsoever.
Now I want to talk to this guy, but what do I say? I don't even know if he likes me? WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If this is going to be a 'what if' situation, I would say go for it.
If you really think your teacher is psychic, even more reason to go for it.
I mean if you honestly think you have a chance with this guy, or you honesty think the situation would be better if you asked him out (or told him you liked him, whichever one) then just trust yourself.

If you like him anyway, whether or not some psychic told you, you should definitely go for it or yes you will spend the rest of your life with the what if's.

that's freaky. or maybe your teacher was just playing with you. you probably shouldn't do anything. if she really is psychic, that'll happen anyway, right? haha idk i'm not decided on whether i even believe in psychic abilities.
Don't fall for your teacher's claims. If you are going to go after the guy, do it based on your own convictions, not on some sort of bullshit psychic claim. It's easier to pick up on non-verbal cues and come to conclusions than you realize; your teacher may have convinced herself that such a talent is a psychic ability.
Just talk to him as you would a friend, or someone you'd like to know and become friends with. If it's meant to be as your teacher has apparently forseen, then it will. Don't expect miracles overnight and for you two to be madly in love from now until the day you die, but don't be afraid to take a chance either.
I personally, would say go for it. The worst he can do is reject you. There will be other people if he does. If he don't then good job. I wish you the best of luck. You won't know though until you question.

Go up to him and with a straight face, tell him you insist on your first born being named Madeline. He'll either be charmed by your quirky sense of humor or get a restraining order, a fun party story either way.
Your teacher has been spying on you and/or stalking you.
The reason that MacBeth killed King Duncan was because the The Witches had told him that MacBeth would become Thane of Cawdor and then the King. If MacBeth had not been told that he would become King, he never would have had the ambition to kill Duncan and never would have been king.
So the point is that I think that if she had not told you, you never would have thought to actually ask him out. Basically, you should go for it. =)
Does your friend have the same teacher? If so, I think you just got punk'd.
I think your friend might have talked to your teacher or talked to someone else and your teacher somehow overheard (that's about the whole name thing). About the fact that you had a crush on that guy, well... a lot of people can tell when someone has a crush on someone. It's usually a bit obvious even when the person doesn't make it obvious.
Anyways, the point remains that you like him... so go for it!

If the teacher is right (who knows, maybe she is, shit happens) then do nothing and just go with the flow. But don't feel being pressured by the "oracle" - they sometimes are wrong...

Well, go for it! If you don't because you're scared, don't know what to say, are too shy, or whatever, you're going to sit there wondering "What if...?" for the rest of your life. I don't believe in psychic crap or anything, but psychic prediction or not, you control your own destiny and it's your actions that determine where things will go for you in your life, not some teacher and her supposed psychic abilities. I'm not saying she doesn't have them, at least not intentionally. She may very well have them, but what I am saying is it is you who determines your life's outcomes.
Your teacher is creepy.
But if you like the guy, just go for it.
