  • Could You Be Gay for Pay?

    As I was watching the Tyra Show they showed a preview for an upcoming episode called "Gay for Pay". It's about men who identify as straight but do gay porn. The claim to only do gay porn for the money but could they also possibly be gay and just don't want to come out of the closet?

    Do you think these men are gay or really just want the money? If you identify as straight would you ever do gay/lesbian porn for money? If you identify as gay/lesbian would you ever do straight porn for money?

    their stories were pretty messed up

    and i think they are actually just doing it for the money because they all claim that they are heterosexual and doing it for the money involved

    This reminded me to turn it to Tyra; I'm watching it now. I remember watching a special about the AV industry, and them talking about how most men in gay porn are really straight. True life followed a boy who was straight and did gay porn.

    Personally, I think you can be straight and do the porn. If you aren't getting aroused by being touched by a man, then you're straight. Most guys have to visualize a sexy woman in order to get hard. If you ever watch gay porn (yes, I like porn. Sue me.), you'll see that it takes some guys forever to get hard because being with a man does not turn them on.

    If it is truly just an act, I suppose they could be perfectly straight.  However, they'd have to be more open minded about it than most men would.  But hey, whatever floats whoever's boat, I say go for it.  It's a free country, after all, one where you could be gay and pretend to be straight or the other way round.

    I think they are just okay with performing gay sex, but are not necessarily attracted to dudes. I think this is actually possible. Maybe they are really attracted to women a whole lot more...who knows?

    I saw that episode it was RIDONKULOUS! I always saw an episode of "Desperate to be straight"

    Anyway, I could never be gay, not even for fun. It doesn't do anything for me. It's just like......nope, sorry.
    However I do have a few lesbian friends I flirt around with jokingly. They understand but it's just for funs. :P

    I have seen the episode and I find it hard to believe that they aren't even a little bit attracted to men.  Ask any straight guy and he'd be like, "Hell no!"  *Not*  "For how much?"  As for that, most straight guys would even lose an erection at the sight of a throbbing, gaping--well, you get the idea.  Even the mental imagery would be enough to turn them off, so for a guy to be able to plow right in says that he *must* have some attraction to it...even if it's only the thought of doing something taboo.

    I think there's more to it when anyone says they do porn "just for the money."  It seems like they might be ashamed that they actually like having a ton of sex.  I know that I will never resort to porn or anything similar because I need money.  There is plenty of work available.  It may not be fast or "good" but it's out there, and it doesn't involve me stripping down or having sex with strangers.  But that's me, personally.  I think to do porn you have to have a certain state of mind...to do those things and not feel guilty.  You do it because you want to, because you like it, because you don't want to get a real job, but I don't believe anyone just does it for the money.

    I could not be gay (or in this case be in gay porn [or be in ANY porn for that matter]) for any amount of money. Call me stupid if you must, but someone could offer me $9,000,000,000,000,000,000 (add as many zeros as you like) and I would still never do it.

    I am so straight I'd break in half if I bent even a little.

    If they're comfortable with themselves, I don't see a problem with it. Those men are obviously good with their masculinity to know that having sex with another man won't turn them gay. However, I believe the term for homosexuality is one who leads a homosexual "lifestyle", meaning that they usually have sex with people of the same sex.

    Still, I applaud them for going gay just to entertain me. xD

    And no, I would never do a porno. If I want to do a woman, I want it to be special. :3

    I might do gay porn but only if I didn't have to do anything except make out with her.

    Honestly though I wouldn't even do straight porn and the idea of even having a private video tape of me and my bf doesn't please me so porn in general would be out for me.
