Dress Up For Your Date - Cookout Edition
I never know what to wear to cookouts. I always end up dressing too casually (shorts + t-shirt) and feeling gross once the smoke from the grill hits my eyes. Decidedly unattractive, I tell you.
Knowing there are other girls in my shoes, I decided to hunt down three cookout ready dresses. The rules I set for myself? They have to be under $20, won't wrinkle when you sit down on plastic lawn chairs and have to be able to withstand ketchup stains (I'm clumsy).
So I window-shopped online. Here's what I came up with from Forever 21:
Rope Tie Halter Dress - $18.90
Samantha Woven Dress - $19.80
Fab Pocket Dress - $9.50 (!!!!)
I have to vouch for this one - I bought it in three colors last year and have worn all three of them over and over.

Definitely! I've been on the lookout for cute summer dresses that are casual enough to fit in with shorts, but dressy enough for an outdoor concert.
How come I can never find anything pretty from Forever 21 :(

depends on where you're dining out and the weather; for spring/summer, i'd say "go with the first one.."
the first one is ADORABLE! too bad they prolly don't have it in my size. Since Forever 21 is for 5'5" Stick thin girls

I love all of these! Forever21 is my favorite store.
2nd dress in deep purple or navy if you have that option. If not, the first one with a little cardigan would be cute. The third one looks waaay too slinky
I'd pick #1 b/c it's simple, flirty, somewhat outdoorsy. #2 isn't bad but probably in navy as mentioned by the above comments.
I really like the second one.
Red is my favorite color and I love that dress. My end choice would be the dress at the top. I like the look and I prefer the darker blue to the lighter one at the bottom.
I love the red one because of the embroidery on it! I always wear jeans and t-shirts to cookouts, but that's often because it's a family party, and because when we play sports, we play rough =)
