Most of my parental explanations about where babies come from began with "well, when a man and a woman get married, love each other very much and decide they want a baby..." so back in the day, I automatically assumed that babies were brought by a combination of wanting and love (come to think of it, it kind of is a combination of those two...) on behalf of the parents.
Anyway, I assumed you could will a baby to be born because you were ready and loved your husband/wife and reallyreallyreally wanted a child. And that was not really correct.
I didn't buy the stork thing because my immediate association with storks was what I knew of Dumbo and Vlasic pickles.
"MOM! THE STORK ONLY BRINGS ELEPHANT BABIES"

i thought if a man and a woman hugged each other and kissed each other non stop in bed, the baby appears... :P at least that's what used to happen in movies, right? hahaha
then a classmate ruined all that beautiful thoughts by telling the ugly truth.. hahaha XD
Before I entered kindergarten, I thought babies came from the mother's belly button.
Then when my mom denied that, I asked how it really happened. She told me. Very bluntly.
I was 10 mo. old when my next sibling was conceived. I knew the truth of babies as soon as I asked... somewhere from age two to age four.

I never really thought about it. But when I was older and knew how it really happens one of my friends told me that when a guy and a girl kisses a seed from the guy's mouth goes into the girls mouth and then down into her stomach.Then it goes through the intestines. once they get into the small intestines it goes into a special place that God made for babies to grow. I just laughed and didn't say anything. Because I'm pretty sure her parents would have wanted to tell her how it really happened other than someone else.
Hahaha! Hmm...I did know babies grew in the mom's stomach, but I was rather unclear on how they came out. I thought they were pooped out, and it used to be one of my fears that someday, I would be pregnant and I would accidentally poop my baby out into the toilet!
I dont remember what I thought, but I love the explanation in knocked up, where the little girl talks about a person getting their head cut open, and the stork puts the baby in thru the head, and then I think she said it comes out the bellybutton, but I can't remember because I haven't seen the movie in a while.
