I understand that it's this guy's prerogative to tell the world he loves Monica (and every movie he has seen with her, and her voice...and apparently she is an activity that necessitates winking), but...come on.
I was talking to my BF about this because I continually hound him with rhetorical questions. It was enough for us to put "in a relationship" in both of our profiles - not linked thankyouverymuch - let alone tag pictures with both of us for Facebook to show on the feed. Blerg. The whole idea of showing *~love for my guy~* on Facebook makes me want to kick things.
Do you have any Facebook friends guilty of showing a little too much affection online?

This should be submitted to lamebook.

@storiesandsinker@xanga - LOL. Good one.
Left a cute video on his wall, but that was it.
We never changed our relationship statuses from blank to "in a relationship" because 1) I didn't want to make a relationship "facebook official" before we had dated for a long time, and 2) he was trying to date another girl at the same time without either of us knowing.
But I digress..
i leave love for my love everywhere, not conspicuously but i cant help it
He has League of Extraordinary Gentlemen as one of his favorite movies: his drooling over Monica is far, far, less embarrassing than that.
We had changed our status for single to "in a relationship" and I posted our vacation pictures every now and then, but that's about it.
Yeah, showing obsession over your bf/gf is a little extreme.
When Facebook first came out for our campus in 2005, my boyfriend did this exact thing on his profile. I wanted to VOMIT. It made me sick. No one - NO ONE - wants to see that sort of thing. I had to beg him to remove half of it, and even then, he made me feel like a lowly piece of poo for it. Oh, by the way, he's now an ex. haha.
I hate when couples take those kissing photos and make it their profile pictures... Ok I get it, you're happily in love. But do I need to see you two trying to eat each other? No thanks.
one of my friends on fb has constant back and forth with gf, from status that say "ilove my boo" "i'm in love with my honeypot, fo realz" to calling each other "yum yum" and "nom nom". (barfs in mouth.)
we have our statuses, occasionally wall each other links to funny vids or something, but other than that. i mean. i'm not "missin my babe" or anything thats too retarded ...
AUGH! IT'S JASON ALL OVER AGAIN!
@MilkyWhitesezMoo@xanga - Same here. We have one set of photos we decided to try to take for his grandparents. Sometimes our statuses pertain to each other, but it's usually lame jokes or silly lyrics or something. The worst we do is send each other comics every now and then.
what is up with people showing soooooo much affection? it's like, we get the idea, we dont really care and we definitely don't want a bit off ur guy/girl. just get a room and stay there for all eternity! *eyes rolling*
if u have to go through all that trouble to show ur with someone, what r u like in real life?
@storiesandsinker@xanga - +2 Waaaaaaaay too over the top.
I would upload pics of me and my bf. If I would regarding pics with my friends, why wouldn't I with my bf? The pictures aren't mushy and gooey and makes people barf. I have a friend who goes overload. they walk around the city taking pictures of them posing...like what you would do during the day of your wedding..posing different positions to glamorize the wedding and the marriage. LOL
A little... but I would never do that.
It's not just Facebook, it's Myspace too @__@
I have pictures in my albums of my boyfriend and me, but he's not all over my freaking profile, nor is he every other word in it, either. There's pictures, and it shows my "in a relationship" status with him, and that's it [on Facebook]. And my status will occassionally be about him, but it's in no way sickeningly cheesy. Same basically goes for Myspace. Mentioning a loved one in every single category miiiiight be overkill, but hey - freedom of expression, right?
Then there are the few who complain about this that might just be bitter. Haha
"know how i know you're gay? you like coldplay"
Oh my, that picture up there makes me a little sick. My friend's boyfriend is exactly like this. His statuses always include how much he loves her, wants to cuddle with her, misses her, can't wait to see her. Even if the status is about him, he always adds something about her. Its quite obnoxious.
hahahaha. nice post.
lol. I have no problem with linking...and I'd be annoyed if the guy I was dating didn't want to. (I'd wonder who he doesn't want to know we're dating?)
But the cutesy wall posts and kissy face photos for your profile pic...that is really unnecessary. Plus that's double the drama when/if you break up and have to revamp your entire profile.
Meh. The picture is ridiculously stalkerish. And creepy.
But I'm also guilty of sometimes leaving ridiculous wall posts on my SO's wall. XPhis affections for monica seem obsessive and if they ever broken up because she dumped him, he's the type that would say "life is meaningless without you, i'm going to off himself" just so that he can hold onto her for a week or so.
that's just scary...like, really.

Yes, that's too much.
