The photo is pretty perfect because there's so much going on - he's reaching out to the pretty girl while someone tries to stop him - and in the background, people are walking around, oblivious to the situation. That's exactly how it feels to be on that side of unrequited love.

One day, you may come across the notes you wrote with hearts in the margins or the pictures the two of you had together (where you leaned in to him, uncomfortably close) and laugh. But not now.
So, Rose Boy, while you may be enjoying brief newfound fame and will probably get to meet your lady and give her the rose again, the rest of us daydreamers, past and present, will be pining away in our rooms, wondering if the objects of our affection even know we exist.
