Okay, I was getting onto the (completely underground) train the other night and this guy was already sitting on the bench across from me - he obviously thought he was hot shit and was wearing Oakleys (COOL! in 1997...) while trying to look pimpingly nonchalant. Hot. Anyway.
I am of the opinion that wearing sunglasses is only permissible if you fit into one of the following categories:
- You have an eye disease that necessitates avoiding bright lights.
- You are Jack Nicholson
- You are hung over as hell
- The sun is coming in through your window oh god it burns! it burns so much!
- You are trying on said sunglasses at the store
- You are participating in a spoof rap video
ahem
Were my BF a sunglasses kind of guy and were he to wear them inside when it was not bright, I would probably ask him what he was doing and then probably ask him to take them off - I just think it's trying way too hard.
Am I being overbearing? Would you date someone who wore his shades inside?

i would ONLY date people who wear sunglasses indoors.
nothing more, nothing less.
I wear my sunglasses at night.
[/end fact]
I hate the wearing of sunglasses inside as a fashion statement. Though I find myself doing it sometimes....but that is only because I wear glasses and my sunglasses clip magnetizes right to the front.
It's silly.
Meh, I wouldn't care either way.
They do it so they can use their elevator eyes without getting reported to the police!!!
it's So tacky. XP
Maybe he was blind, you dick!
<3
i would. these days, its like a fashion statement, a trend. Just like the shutter shades (oh God how i hate those damn things!).
When my girls and I go out to the clubs, we sometimes where our sunglasses. Sometimes they go with an outfit, or (the reason I like to do it), others cant tell who you are looking at.
I dont think its a big deal.
-shrugs-
My boyfriend wears them all the time, and the only reason it somewhat bothers me is because he has gorgeous eyes.
its not that big a deal, sunglasses are a fashion now...
wearing sunglasses indoor...so what?
I wouldn't base dating them on that as a whole but it'd probably annoy me.
Some girls also wear sunglasses indoors when they're not wearing makeup.
I wouldn't rule out the idea of dating them solely for the reason of wearing shades indoors/on cloudy days/at night, I'd have to see what kind of person they are. Some guys and girls think they're hot sh!t when they wear them all the time.
you forgot to mention - if you're corey hart. 8D
i'm always hungover. so they're always on.
Or if you are rolling face....
I don't really care ... I wouldn't want my boyfriend to wear it every single day 24/7 though.
they think its cool no wear it anywhere they go. oh puh-lease
sunglasses are def. fashion. My bf and I both wear our aviators, sometimes inside, while taking a subway etc. For one, they match outfits and go for a look. For another, I hate taking them on and off when I'm running around the city. Also, they fall off when I put them on my head and get lost in my purse.
haha why not. i've been guilty of wearing shades indoors, voluntarily and forgetfully.
If I forget they're on or if the indoor lights are too bright, I'll wear them indoors.
I also wear them at night, sometimes. >_<
As long as they don't wear goggles all the time.
Eye contact can be a powerful social tool. Wearing sunglasses is, to me, at the very least trying to let your clothes do all the talking for you. It seems quite insecure to me.
You're giving a guy shit without knowing a damn thing about him? that's not presumptuous or anything. Try not to flip the fuck off your high horse.
Relax Miranda Priestly...
@Mangonese@xanga - hahaha.
