Good Kissers
In one of my previous blogs which compared the kissing abilities of various men I've dated, we got into an interesting conversation in the comments. BeautyInBeautyOut asked the question, "What makes a good kisser?" So I thought I'd start a new blog here and get your opinions on it.As far as my preferences go, I like soft, slow, sensual. I like a kiss to be like building a fire. You start with the kindling and gently fan it into flame.
I like lips barely brushing, then gentle pressure. I like to feel his hands on my face, sliding down my neck, skimming my body, then to have his arms wrap around me and press me to him. I like soft lips pushing mine open and just the smallest taste of his tongue. And when his lips leave mine to go exploring, I want to be able to close my eyes and get completely lost in the sensation of his mouth, his tongue, his hands, traveling my body. I like kissing to be so much more than just mouths.
So what do you think? What makes a good kiss and/or a good kisser?

Haha I'm definitely with you here. I like it to start slow and let it build.
When it comes to sex I'm on the other side. lol
I hear most people don't like it, but I like a lot of tongue. :3 Gently prodding and licking lips, super deep kissing, and licking down to my neck to kiss. Hoogod, gives me the shivers just to think about it.
Build up is nice, but not too drawn out, you know?

Wow, your description of a good kiss is really sexy. I've only kissed two guys, and one was definitely better than the other. It's been so long since I kissed the first guy that I can't remember exactly why he was good, but with the second guy, he was way too eager. He practically sucked my entire mouth into his. It wasn't always bad with the second guy (sometimes you really do like the eager kiss), but he had a really large mouth and kept opening it as wide as he could. And he kept accidentally biting me. And they were always really wet and a bit sloppy. I didn't like that I always had to wipe a ton of saliva off of my face after every time we kissed, but I was in love with him, so I let it slide for the most part. In all fairness, though, he did get better as time went on, but he could've still used some major improvement.
@Kacey - Eww, I HATE wet and sloppy. Most men do get better with time.

i hate hate hate boys that feel they have to shove their tongue down my throat and all over my mouth. do they really think that's enjoyable? i dont even see how its good for them.
i love boys that take it slow and hardly use tongue at all. they work with you and dont just grab the reins and do what they want.

For me, it's easier to say what I DON'T like about kissing rather than what makes a good kiss, because every kiss is different. But I never understood why some guys feel it necessary to open their mouths wider than the girl's mouth. Are they trying to eat her face or something? Nothing is worse than having to wipe off your entire face with a towel after making out with someone.

Good description, I agree entirely. I also like to be able to play around with the guy a little and figure out what really gets him going. There are some strange things that turn people on...and it's fun to discover what they are.

I think the best kiss is either the kind that you described - starting out so softly and turning sensual, or the kind of kiss that lasts around 2-4 seconds - he grabs you, and his lips meet yours passionately, he's got you pressed against him with a hand going through your hair, and he's literally taking the breath out of you.
I think a good kisser will run his hands through a girl's hair sometimes, knows how to kiss at all kinds of speeds and how to take cues as to how fast to kiss, and kisses the girl's body where she likes to be kissed.

Everything you described before the kissing of the body...it wasn't my first kiss but it was my most cherished. I remember thinking, "This is what a kiss REALLY is." I wish I could experience it again, but it's long gone, and so will be the one who initiated it.

hmm... i dont use tongue that much actually... But it seems like all the girls ive kissed are very... tongue heavy so i dont feel like im a good kisser... but they keep coming back so i must be doing something right! hahaha
without technicalities... just putting some effort into it.
