Awkward Sex Dreams
You know the ones. It might be with whichever gender you're not usually attracted to, and you wake up thinking, "But I don't swing that way! (Or do I, since obviously my subconscious finds it sexy? I'm so confused)!" Maybe it's just with someone you know that you're not particularly attracted to for whatever reason (social things count as well as physical, such as not being able to find yourself attracted to someone because they are your SO's ex, or your SO's sibling, etc.), and you wake up thinking that you'll never be able to look at that person the same way again.Recently I had one. I won't say with whom. But even though the dream felt nice, I woke up thinking, "But I still love my fiancée. I don't have any feelings at all for this person. This is so weird!" Now I can't hang out with this person without thinking about it at least once in the back of my mind, and it doesn't feel sexy, just awkward.
How about it? Ever had any awkward sex dreams?

Haha oh most definitely yes I have. No, I'm not gonna spill it on here =P
Uh, no.
Okay, wait, maybe there was one, but it wasn't with the same gender.
I read somewhere that if you dream of having sex with anybody, it means you haven't got any in a while. I have had dream sex with people I didn't even care for sexually. Not then, anyway.
I have weird dreams like that all the time. I don't take them seriously and if I know the other person well enough I will joke with them about it.....
@mynameisblueskye@xanga - LOL well that would explain why I have dreams like that a lot....
I recently had a dream that i hooked up with my best friend's boyfriend and he always flirts with me and now im afraid one day i may not push him away :S
Three or four years ago I had a sex dream about my (at the time) best friend. Actually, during that time period I only dreamed about girls. Uh.
Oh, well there was this really cute piggy. Ah, never mind.
@mynameisblueskye@xanga - Hm I wonder how it works if you've never had sex before...? haha, because I've never had awkward sex dreams. Or any dreams about sex.
Buutttt... I have had dreams about going to school naked... which is weird. I always hide myself with my backpack (apparently I didn't forget that).
i had a dream my ex popped in for a visit - he used to do that randomly even after we'd broken up when we were still on speaking terms - except this time, my new awesome bf was there - and it was as if i were emotionally torn - but still very much in love with my current bf. i think they eventually worked themselves into a fight.
'm glad my ex is long out of my life.
Yeah, I was going to be forced to have sex with one of my close friends. Which was more weird because we had the kind of relationship where we joked that we were fuck buddies. I know when I woke up, all I could think about was his dick. Ew. It was "all pink and Kyle-like." Ha.
I've never had a sex dream, but I have had dreams where I kissed different guy friends. And in every one of them, I would think "uh-oh what if my boyfriend finds out?" haha weird because I don't like my friends in that way.
I'd tell my boyfriend afterwards and he'd usually laugh about it.
@joycemiles@xanga - Sex dreams are triggered simply by a sexual hunger or the fact that you haven't done it in all the while. Sex dreams count anything that gives you an orgasm (including masturbation) as sexual act, and if you wish for something physical you get a dream under one condition. You don't really get to choose who you have sex with. I wound up, in my experience, having things with classmates, a family member, and Ms. Swan.
I know.
So, who she has sex with doesn't quite mean she has feelings for the friend. After all, as much as you would like to, you can't just choose to have dream sex with or choose to dream at all with your husband in it. It just means she has a hunger that needed to be cured. That's all.
That especially goes for someone who really hasn't had sex before, but would at least like to.
Yes, yes, I've had so many awkward sexual dreams of just about every kind. The minority of them involve any kind of actual sex, probably because I've never actually had sex so I can't imagine it very well.
I've had several dreadful ones lately, like you, the author, where I'm with somebody else making out or worse and then realize in the dream, "Oh, no! I'm engaged! I'm cheating! What will Matt think?" It's always such a relief to wake up and realize I didn't actually do it!
I'm kind of an artist, and I had a really weird one once where I drew a guy and he came to life. I got passionate with my own graphite drawing creation. That can't be normal...!
All of the time, haha.
Yeah, I have. And some of them were kind of awkward. Like, with a family member awkward. I remember waking up from that one and being really freaked out. I went all psychoanalytical and was picking it apart, doing the whole "do I really feel that way?" and "what could that mean?" thing. And then I felt a little disgusted with myself. I mean, I know you can't choose what you dream about, but still. I guess I just felt...dirty.
Let me just say that a sex dream with a person DOES NOT mean that your subconscious is attracted to that person. Dreams are pieces of several different puzzles of reality put together in a different order.
@joycemiles@xanga - Being naked in public is one of the most common types of recurring dreams. It isn't related to sex at all, but rather may show that you're self conscious.
I was forced to have sex with an old man.
Weird. I have a lot of sex, but I still have sex dreams like... all the time.
Yeah I get those. One morning I caught myself grinding my boyfriend while I was dreaming I was about to get down and busy with Denise Richards. He didn't know I was still sleeping and took it as a hint that I wanted morning sex. Then I woke and stopped.
I've had enough that they stopped being awkward. The only time it's awkward afterward is if I was raped in the dream.
Yeah this has happened to me. I woke up thinking, Is this a sign? So I started flirting with the guy who was in my dream but nothing happened. No spark or connection. Only then did I chock it up to chance that I dreamt about them in that way. It's no big deal.
My policy on sex dreams: enjoy the dream, don't assume it has any merit whatsoever in real life and move on.
Mhm. Total, and complete, randomness. Really random, and I look at the person thinking, "whoa, I can't beleive he was in my dream and we were ...."-- whack.
