  • Have You Ever Sung To Your Partner?

The essence of love is knowing that you aren't perfect, but no matter what, someone likes you the way you are. And also it takes a while to really get comfortable enough to dance if you can't, do anything if you can't, or sing if you can't sing.

Now, I'm neither the best nor the worst singer, and I don't have a spouse or an actual partner, but I like the idea of singing to somebody. I have seen some movies where people were singing to their partners, and they were either calming enough to sleep or smiling to them. Giving the actual boost to do what you can't really do perfectly proves that love is all about seeing something special and wonderful that others can't.

I sang a multilayered song that doubles as a simple love song. It's nothing but my voice.  And if a girlfriend I know hears this, odds are she'll know I'm not the best singer, but she'll appreciates that I went far enough to actually sing doo-wop accidentally (It was accidental, because this wasn't supposed to be doo-wop in the first place.) Before that, I found the time to write a song to any girl that makes me happy enough to do so.

Love to me is knowing that you are comfortable enough to do what you want, and they love you enough to tolerate it, because it's a cute flaw. Either way, think of the very first time you sang around or to your boy or girlfriend. What were his or her thoughts of your singing ability? Have any of you gone so far as to actually dedicate or write a song to somebody?
