My boyfriend wants my opinion on the engagement ring he'll present me when the time is right. He picked out three different rings and wants to know my thoughts on them. I love all three and just can't decide which I like the best.
#1 Diamond with Sapphires
#2 Heart Diamond
#3 Sapphire with Diamond Accents
My thoughts on them are as follows.
#1 is rather small, as it's only 1/3 of a carat, but it is a diamond (traditional engagement stone) and it has sapphires, which I really want.
#2 is a heart diamond, but it's all diamonds and I'm not really a fan of diamonds - they look bland to me.
#3 is big - the sapphire is like 2 carats, I believe - it's my favorite as I love sapphires. I'm just not sure if the ring would look okay being that big, and it's not a diamond, so would that be okay for an engagement ring?
Does anyone have any thoughts? Which is your favorite?

2 or 3 i'd say.
I like the first one.
I like the first one. It's simple but meaningful. That's how I'd like an engagement ring :]
1 or 2 are my favourite. Though I'm not really a fan of saffires, or anything heart-shaped.
Because really.. that's what really matters.
-- I say, as long as YOU love it.
first one for sure =]
I love the first one. I could do without the other two. But it's YOUR ring :)
I like the first one the best, but it all comes down to what you like the best and what your boyfriend can afford.
i'd go with #1. its the most elegant and simple, yet with a twist of untraditional. i like it.
in my opinion #3 is really ugly, basically because its so big and in your face (dont get me wrong, i love sapphires!) but no one is going to look at it and think "oh, you're engaged! congrats!"
but hey, its YOUR ring. if your favorite is the third one then get it (only if your boyfriend can afford it though)
1 or 2, but I lean on 2 because anything more than just a daimond or a band is too decorative (in my mind) I'm sure some girl* will make me change my mind. lol
* Totally positive italics. :)
#3! It looks the best on your finger and you don't need a "traditional" engagement ring. A Sapphire is a beautiful stone to have. One of my friends just picked out her ring with her boyfriend (he's holding onto it until the perfect moment) and it's a huge green amethyst. If you don't like diamonds, don't get one.
#1 gets lost on your finger. #2 .. heart shaped? seems a bit childish. #3 is your favorite. Listen to your heart. It got you your boyfriend, didn't it?
I like the third one.
#1
The first one is so beautiful. =)
I think saffires are too close to a base blue. There might be more interesting blue stones out there. I'm not too sure about heart shaped cuts either...
If 2 was a different shape it would be my favorite. 3 looks really good on you, and if it's your favorite then go with that. Engagement rings don't have to be traditional or only diamonds.
I really like the first one
No one said an engagement ring had to be a diamond (except for De Beers cartel) Get the one you like.
1 is the best of both worlds
I like the first one. The second one is nice but you said you wanted something not so bland, right? And the third is the opposite--I think it stands out too much and looks a bit gaudy to me. Ultimately it's your choice, so good luck choosing :)
i like the third one on you the most.
I like the first one.
I personally don't like any of them for an engagement ring, but that is just me. Of those 3 I would chose 1, 2 is a bit too trendy and you many not like it in a few years, 3 although very nice, just doesn't look right for an engagement ring. Go with the one that you can actually see yourself wearing everyday, which one you will still want on your finger in 5, 10, 20 years. You really have to go with what you want, not what others pick for you.
It's true that the first one is the best of both worlds...
but this marriage is about you and your husband, not what everyone is going to think about your engagement ring.
If the third ring is your favorite, pick it! You're going to have to wear that ring for awhile, and you may even still want to wear it even when you're married!
I suggest you pick the one you like, and avoid trying to conform.
seriously, do number 3.
I don't like any of them, but it's your ring so go with what you like. If you like the third one (and it seems like you do!) you should go with that one.
