You Vs. Your SO: Who's More Lovey-Dovey?
I'm pretty cynical, but I have a little bit of an "awwwww" side to me, too, I think. I like fuzzy animals and walks in the park and . . . stuff.
My boyfriend insists that he is not mushy, but he is sitting next to me and kissing me on the arm. FAIL! You are the mushier one, boo. He wants me to note that he is, however, manly. This is true.
Who's more romantic and lovey-dovey?

ahah my boyfriend & I's situation towards the lovey-dovey is exactly like yours ^^
I am definitely not lovey dovey. I'm very closed off. I want to be a little more affectionate, but I feel to vulnerable. One day I'll fix that.
I really think we're about even.
Hahah, aw. Totally cute.
I think in the beginning, he was totally more lovey-dovey. Now it's about even.
hes alot more mushy than i am, i am aware of my surrounds more when hes all hugs and kisses whereas he doesn't care the slightest if his family or friends are staring us right in the face
defs the boyfriend because i'm also more of the cynical type. very lovey dovey but i wouldn't mind if he was more romantic though =)
It's interesting that this would be mentioned cuz lately I've noticed my bf and I seem to be switching roles in the lovey-dovey department. For the first year or so it was definitely him, but in the past few months the ratio seems to be shifting in my direction. In the end, I suppose we break even. It all depends on the day.
It depends. Usually when I am, he isn't. But when he is, I am not. Like when I'm ordering food, he'll wrap his arms around my neck and I'll be like "stopp" because I don't want to make the cashier uncomfortable lol.
Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. XP
I think I am.
Hmphs.
When I was dating my ex I was definitely much more lovey-dovey than she was (this was my first relationship with a girl-she had already been in several relationships before me). I used to hold her close to me with my arms around her waist when we'd be hanging out at my house watching TV. As a matter of fact I used to hold her in my arms pretty often-and I used to hold her hand a lot.Â
definitely the boyfriend. he is a complete cheeseball =)
meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
We're about even.
We're about the same on most days, but I think I'm more lovey-dovey than him overall.
I am much more verbally lovey-dovey but he is more so physically. Ever since we started dating he's been that way. He always wants to be touching me, holding my hand, arm around me, leaning on me, kissing me softly, gazing adoringly, stroking my hand, giving me knowing smiles... and he has no shame with doing all of this in public. It bothers two of my friends. They're like, "It's so sweet, but eew!" We've also been shouted at across a crowded church because he leaned over and kissed me. I was mortified.
But all in all, I love how affectionate he is. He does a very good job of making me feel cherished and adored. And his top love language is "words of affirmation" so he eats my verbal lovey-doveyness up. We go together well.My sweetie and I are about 50/50 and we even out perfectly. What we have is what we call in the South "pert neer perfect" and I hope that never changes!
i'm more lovey-dovey, i want to hold hands, i want him to kiss me when we're standing in line, i want him to show his affection towards me in public. he's romantic but just when it's the two of us. i think i have just came to accept that he's more of a private person than i am.
Haha that's a cute post.
I'm definitely more of a romantic than my ex was. My favorite thing to do was to kiss his cheek when I felt affectionate, which was...a lot, and I ended up kissing his cheek..a lot.
We are equally love-dovey. (: We love cuddling and showing each other really cute ways of expressing our love for each other. (:
Both my husband and I are romantic and lovey dovey--but we can also be casual and goofy with each other, too. It just depends on our mood!
That said, my husband is probably the most romantic man I've ever met. And I'm the only one who gets to see it.
i admit i am ... and he's not
which sucks
I think he may be more romantic than me at times..but about even.
My boyfriend is completely lovey dovey! Tells me I love you at random, and kisses me in all weird areas. And loves holding my hand, and starts acting all cute. =]
Even when he's half dead, he's still smiles when he sees me.
I am too =] But he is way more
I honestly don't know, actually. haha I mean, I'm the one that likes to kiss him in randomn places, like his arm and whatnot. But then again, my boyfriend's the one that's always saying all this lovey-dovey stuff. lol
