What's Normal for Sex During Your Period?
Every guy I've ever been with has always responded to "that time of the month" with what could only be expected: He might get oral, but other than that, we take the week off of sex. Granted, there are exceptions (in the shower, etc.,) but that's another post. The guy I'm currently with is different, though. He doesn't seem to care and thinks it's weird that I thought I would be left out of the equation for the week. In his mind, it's all natural and not much should change. Granted, he's more attentive/better in bed than anyone I've ever been with and, while I'm not complaining, I'm a little surprised.
What *IS* normal? The past guys (or are they just taking the easy way out) or the current guy?

There is no such thing as normal.
It's my boyfriend's favorite time.
-shrug-
Boyfriend and I have always had sex on my period as well as off it --it certainly helps with cramps. I don't think you need to worry about what's "normal" or not.
I do it during period, to be honest it never really bothered me. *shrug*
I wouldn't and won't be.
I don't know about the rightness or wrongness of it, but it would have to be something that you would have to be sure to be protected during. I'm not sure I would be comfortable having sex during my period... I always feel real gross.
There's no such thing as normal. Embrace his willingness to be with you any time during the month, not just 2 or 3 weeks out of it.
Ick. It grosses me out. The very sight of blood makes me want to vomit. I tried it a few times and I had to look at the ceiling. Nasty nasty.
1. It can make cramps feel better
2. It's not horribly messy if you do it right. Some minor adjustments...like in a shower/tub or on a tile floor or something that can be easily wiped up.
Best cure for cramps I've ever found,(and I have severe cramps!) and he loves it! I think it's because it's supposed to be "dirty" or forbidden. Most of that stems from some religions beliefs that women are "unclean" at that time. Normal for me, may not be normal for you. If you and your guy are comfortable with it, go for it!
lol like you, my guy is like that as well.. at first, i thought HE would be weirded out by it but as it turns out... he's always down! just as long as we keep things clean and he doesnt have to touch anything. x]
but after that... eh, just get used to it. sucks with rubber though >:[[[[[ and also again, like you... he's a lot more experienced in bed. sooo yea.
haha maybe its cuz after a while, they just grow up.. sexually.
I try to avoid it on my heaviest day(s) b/c I think it's gross, but my boyfriend doesn't seem to mind it. If we're near a shower, we'll just do it in there, but if not and I'm wearing a tampon, we just do a bunch of foreplay. If I'm near the end of it, I don't mind having sex.
what? sex during your period? sounds disgusting.
My boyfriend will say that he doesn't want to have sex while I'm on my period, but we sometimes do anyway ;] I wouldn't want him putting his fingers or mouth down there, so straight up sex with a condom is usually how we roll.
I wouldn't say there is a normal. Everyone is different. If you're comfortable with it then I don't see why not.
Don't think I could do it though.
it's never bothered me.
No such thing as normal, as other said. Personally, its just like any other week around here. But like you, this guy is more mature and a helluva lot better in bed. Lol real men don't care if they get a little dirty, its just sex!
if he can't even withstand the idea of no sex for a mere 3-5 days during my period, then I'm kicking his horndog self to the curb!
at first i thought it was weird but after reading some comments i quess its not to many people. but me. idk! pro not (just think blood everywhere) ugh lol
It's gross to me, but I have before, because I don't have it when I'm in water...so shower or bath or lake or pool works.
Also you can just get the birth control shot and not have a period EVER.
I don't know about blood during actual intercourse, but I heard that a woman's extreme arousal temporarily stops menstrual flow, at least at the beginning of the cycle. Maybe it varies from person to person, though. It helps with cramps, though.
That sounds a little messy... and kinda.. gross. So not for me.
I've never had a prob w/it.
All depends on the ppl involved...
:e)
My boyfriend also said he wouldn't care...mostly because I was on the depo shot so almost every time there's blood anyways... yeah...
Oh wow. This is very interesting....
