You Vs. Your SO: You Just Hit A Cone, Bud.
Which one of you is the better driver? How long have you been driving?
Neither of us drives regularly, but I think he's probably a better driver than I am. I like to speed and have a pretty poor sense of direction. My bad. To my credit, though, I'm a champ at three-point turns and passed my maneuverability test with flying colors.
I got my license when I turned 18 (having four siblings means driving them everywhere, so I procrastinated as long as I could!) and I think he was 16.

He's the much better driver- he's been pulled over five times in the past ten months, but got no tickets, and has never hit anything.
I've been hit by a deer, have hit one of those orange cement things beside gas station pumps, have backed into his jeep, my mom's mazda, and our big trashcan.
>.>
I can parallel park like a beast, though.
lol my boyfriend for sure. He's been driving since 15 (ish) and I started about 17? I'm glad he's better; that way he can drive me while I can sit and admire his driving skills.
But really, I get road rage easily and can't change lanes that well. haha whereas my boyfriend can zip in and out of traffic.
neither of us can drive :D
I have yet to get my license... and he got his at 16. He was a good driver minus the speeding lol.
He's had his license longer, but despite being an ambulance driver he still drives terribly (typical New England driving habits) and has more tickets.
But whatever. We'll just keep driving and see who gets in a wreck first, I guess. Then we'll decide who's better.well, i get my permit this summer, so i couldn't tell you lol.
he just turned 18 though, and i think he's a really good driver.
better than my parents in some instances...
ha.
oh and he's had his license since he was 17. permit since he was 16 and a half.
I don't have a license, but I still think I'm better at driving than my boyfriend, haha. He's got a license, not sure how that happened :P
I was always the better driver. I had my license for longer and can drive any type of car (from muscle cars to super vans) provided it's automatic...which I admit I'm sad about because I really wanted to learn how to drive a manual this summer (which will not be happening).
Regardless of what he likes to think, I am DEFINITELY the better driver. He gets one more ticket and his license is gone... I just barely got pulled over for the first time a couple weeks ago and just got a warning.
He's been in an accident, I have not.So yeah, pretty much, I rule.My SO is a better driver. He has been driving for a year longer than I have and I dislike driving with a passion, I only do it when I have to.
I don't know, she drives once every 3 moon cycles. But even if she is driving, she makes me back out of parking spaces and stuff...
Before my boyfriend got punched in the face he was a crazy driver. He went double the speed limit on the opposite side of the road once. He raced. He always sped. Now he's a little too cautious I think. He also hydroplaned once due to speeding. That was scary.
I've been told by people that I'm a good driver and it doesn't scare them to be in the car with me. I drive a little over the limit like everyone else. But my turns are sometimes bad. I've bumped someone going .1km haha. I drove ALL winter with all season tires.
I think we're about the same.
I'm not sure, but I find this interesting.
On paper, I'm the much better driver. I've never gotten into any accidents of any kind, I barely even had outstanding parking tickets. Even though I speed constantly, disobey all road rules and just generally very aggressive. Typical NY/Masshole driver.
I think my SO is the better driver (though I'd never admit it to her). I couldn't even begin to explain why, cause quite frankly I'm not sure.
I've only been driving for seven months, him for over two years.. he's better so far :P
well he complains about asian female drivers, i can't say much because i do too!
so far he hasn't complained about my driving and i haven't complained about him, i guess we are the same type. only driving reckless and fast when we are alone and never when someone else is in the car. :)
I think we're about even. I've been driving since I was fourteen (yes, legally) and I've never been pulled over, gotten in an accident or even gotten a parking ticket. He hasn't either, but he drives a lot faster than I do.
I'm the better driver for sure. My husband has been pulled over on several occasions, he recently drove into a cement pillar in his parking deck at work (with my car!) and he has the worst road rage. If someone pulls in front of him, he tailgates like crazy. If someone pulls in front of him at a traffic light, he steps on the gas. I hate riding with him. That's why I usually will do the driving when we are going anywhere. I do speed though. I've never been pulled over in the 10 years I've had my license though. It's bound to happen eventually I'm sure.
We both started around the same time... He's a more aggressive drive and probably a little more attentive than I am, but I don't think there's any huge difference... except that I'm not as good at parking. lol.
He's a faster driver and his reflexes are fast, but I think I may be a safer driver... when I'm paying attention :P
We both have mad road rage
But I barely drive.
I don't like driving at all lmao.
I dont even have my license
He drives all the time.
& Damn good at it
He's four years older than me, so he's had his driver's license longer. But I'm the better driver, and not just because I can drive stick and he can't.
@disorderedpersonality@xanga - Yeah, my ex is from New England (Massachusetts, to be specific), and I've never seen such horrific driver in my entire life. He got at least 10 speeding tickets in the two years we were together, completely totaled my car in an easily avoidable crash, and destroyed his own car. I'm honestly surprised he's still alive.
@methodElevated@xanga - Yep, he's from MA as well. Everyone there drives terrible. Scariest summer of my life, up there borrowing his sister's car lol.
I am a waaaay better driver than my boyfriend.
In the year and a half we've been together, he has totalled 2 cars, had 4 wrecks, 5 tickets, and been pulled over countless times.
I have only been pulled over once and walked away with a warning. And that was before we started dating.
He STILL claims to be the better driver!!!!
