He Dumped Her Because She Had Weird Thumbs
In an almost Seinfeldian move, a friend of a friend recently dumped a girl because, in his words, she was boring and had weird thumbs.

I can understand the problem with being boring, but appendages?! I am told that these thumbs were almost like fingers and were apparently very distracting. Hmm.

These guys weren't serious or anything, but when I hear reasons like that, it makes me roll my eyes and be, like, COME ON.

Have your friends ever dumped people for ridiculous reasons? What was the reasoning?

I refuse to date guys under 5'10". I guess that's ridiculous in a way, but I'd rather not be taller than a date/boyfriend if I dress up and want to wear heels.

I dumped my girlfriend because she was my dog and my mom said I had to I think they put the dog down to... I miss her :(

Haha, I think weird thumbs is a good reason to dump someone! It just means you have already lost all interest. I know one guy with exceptionally short fingers, all the same length. Whenever he puts his hand on his gf's knee or shoulder, I can't help but stare at it. I don't want to look but I just can't look away. I had a friend who told me that she needed to break up with a guy because "I can't stand the sound of his breathing."

Wtf... I think that's a bit stupid.

My first (& only serious) boyfriend and I broke up because he was moving away & other misunderstandings... nothing stupid/ridiculous.

Well, I don't know the guy, but he probably wouldn't have dumped her if he really liked her personality. Poor girl, though =/.
I know someone who went through boyfriends like they were outdated trial software. A month or two of perfection, and then all the "flaws" come out! End relationship.

well that's kinda a sign that he really is over the person. if he likes the person, he'll tolerate, but if he no longer tolerate, then that means the "liking" isnt there anymore

Hah, that's actually kind of funny. I mean, we all have our reasons, but if the thumbs were legitimately bothering him I guess it's okay.

One of my friends in the dorm dumped a guy because he liked feet too much. She hated feet. Legit freaked out if she was ever touched by anybody else's feet or somebody touched hers.

I dumped a guy I'd know, that had been in rehab becuase the he wouldnt let me drink because he couldnt control himself. ( i would have one or two drinks in a 4 hour period.

My friend was dumped by her boyfriend because they practiced different religious faiths. Sounds legit, right? Except neither of them actually practiced their religion, and the reason why this guy came to this conclusion was cos his grandma told him.
The whole situation was kind of bizarre - but at least she wasn't kicked to the curb for her thumbs of all things.

My cousin dumped a girl, out of nowhere, with no warning, because "she was acting weird."
Though, to be fair, she was only after him because he bought her stuff with the money he doesn't even have.
