This is weird, but for the past couple years, I've wanted to have Midnight Train to Georgia in my wedding somehow. This is dorky, but in my mental movie moment, I picture me and my husband-to-be (funnily enough, his face is always fuzzed out like he's an anonymous source on Nightline or something) walking together, me holding my shoes because my feet hurt and the camera pans out and everything is happy, etc., etc., etc.
I think it reflects an ultimate kind of compromise and it's so unbelievably peppy I do a little dance every time I hear it. The song's about a guy who gets fed up with living in LA and decides to go home to Georgia - back to the life he used to live. This time, though, he's going home with the girl he loves and they'll figure out what happens in the future later.

we belong together - mariah carey is soooo much better =)
I've never thought about this, but my best friend wants hers to be Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion. *vomit*
We're using 18th floor balcony from Blue October in ours.
=]
@TheNotoriousGOD@xanga - There is nothing good about that song. Ew.
I used four or five songs off the Finding Neverland soundtrack. But I also had live music so that could be different --- for the reception my hubby and i just picked out a huge list of songs that we loved and put them on four or five cds and gave them to the DJ to play. It worked out perfectly. :D
Oh....our recessional song was the chorus to First Date by Blink 182 --- we both thought the chorus was perfect! :D
Well, If anything
"Eternity" By Dreams come true.
It totally defines my relationship
walk like an egyptian by the banglesÂ
I'm really fond of The Prince of Denmark's March. It's almost a reference to Hamlet and it's used in two Beatles songs.
I'm not sure what I'd want in the ceremony. Probably some Big Star, Replacements, Elvis Costello, and The Kinks.
I designed the music for my friend's wedding.
The songs playing before the wedding were:
If Not For You by George Harrison
Caring Is Creepy by The Shins
Everyday by Buddy Holly
(The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes by Elvis Costello
When the ceremony started and the family members were escorted in:
God Only Knows by The Beach Boys
The wedding party:
Strangers by The Kinks
The bride walking in:
These Days by Nico
The recessional:
The End by The Beatles
For the banquet, we had 4 CDs of power ballads, lite rock, oldies, and Hawaiian music. It kicked off with Swing Out Sister's "Breakout," and ended with Paul Davis' "Cool Night."
But for the wedding video, the song was Nelson's "(Can't Live Without Your) Love And Affection."
I want my first dance as husband and wife to either be to "It's Your Love" or "My Best Friend" - both by Tim McGraw
I don't even want to get married.
Annie's Song-John Denver
I'll admit I may have thought about this more than I really should haha. I'm pretty sure I want a Snow Patrol song played at my wedding. Which one? Still deciding.
I have not even thought about getting married, not got a girlfriend.
I'm not even close to getting married, but I think about it all the time. I would have to say... Unforgettable with Nat King & Natalie Cole.
A few I'm thinking about for my upcoming wedding:
"Across the Universe" by the Beatles
"Here, There and Everywhere" by the Beatles
"At Last" by Etta James
...and too many others to list here. And I'm still looking, LOL. Gotta have something for the DJ to play after the string quartet is done doing its thing!
Gimme More - Britney Spears
...
LMAO, just kidding.
I haven't thought about it yet though, lol. Something acoustic & really sweet lyrics.
"So Close" by Jon McLaughlin. :) I think it's a really nice song, plus...it has a good beat to waltz. My boyfriend would want "Badfish" by Sublime to play at his wedding.
i really like this one;

Europe - The Final Countdown
that's all by frank sinatra - super old but i think it's romantic. hehe..
"I can only give you love that lasts forever,
And the promise to be near each time you call,
And the only heart I own is yours and yours alone, that's all, that's all.
I can only give you country walks in springtime,
And a hand to hold when leaves begin to fall,
And a love whose burning light to warm the winter night, that's all, that's all."
@Sgt_Pepper13@xanga - CARING IS CREEPY FTW. (:
Probably something like... a classic, I think. Like Ain't No Mountain High Enough. That's always nice and it makes me teary. And maybe some corny, but traditional Indian song - you know, the ones about the blushing brides and the elephants and what not.
@Pcgecko85@xanga - Only if you have a magician performing illusions, not tricks, because tricks are what whore do for money... or candy.
I'd be remiss in not playing something by The Clash, most likely (White Man) In Hammersmith Palais, a song Joe Strummer had played at his funeral.
I Have and I Always Will by Dave Barnes and
Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers but my good friend is going to sing this one. He has a wonderful voice :)
"Beautiful as You" - Wayne Brady :]
