JH started writing love notes to his lady friend on cardboard and posting them online - and people got excited about it! "I never really intended for these little bits of cardboard to be a big deal, but the response has been both surprising and uplifting," he says on his site. "In general, I am a pretty negative person. This project has been a chance for me to focus on the positive for a change."

I stumbled upon these before ... very cute :] My favorite way to tell my boyfriend I love him is to just say it.

I was cleaning my room and i stumbled across a note that my ex wrote me a long time ago. It was a note to tell me that he had packed me snacks for work because I was always busy and I'd miss my breaks.

I was listening to this really feel-good-esque song called I Sing I Swim, and at the end, the lead singer croons (yes - croons), "You've got a diamond under your skin."
I told the SO that, and his reaction was along the lines of "... What?" but I think I got the "It's a compliment - really!" idea across.
So I guess by means of an entirely random song lyric. (:

I love when a guy writes me poetry. I've been given poems by an ex (turns out he didn't write it for me though), but when my husband wrote and shared his poem about me, if I hadn't already been won over, that would have done the trick. <3
