My poor boyf is subjected to my discussions about potential Datingish posts all the time. I ask him all sorts of ridiculous questions because I think they'd be good topics, and he humors me, god bless him.
Anyway, we were on the train and started playing a game called Would You Date. In this game, one person comes up with a hypothetical person to date and the other says whether or not he/she would date that person and why. It's also acceptable to ask questions to rationalize or clarify your response.
We came up with, like, 50 of these, so I hope you guys get as excited about them as I was.
Okay, WYD #1: Would you date a vegan?
I would date one, but under certain circumstances - he shouldn't mind that I eat meat; he shouldn't loudly explain at restaurants that he is a vegan and that's why he can't eat [insert food here]; essentially, he shouldn't be an ass about it.

Sure, why not? I've been a vegetarian my entire life, one that borders on vegan anyway (I generally avoid animal products). So I don't think I'd have a problem there! lol
I would, even though it might be impossible to go out to eat or anything. That's fine by me, 'cause I don't like restaurant food as much as I like my food homecooked. But anyway, my answer is yes :]
I'm a vegetarian and don't have a problem dating someone who eats meat. I won't kiss them right after they ate it though because I can taste the meat on their breathe. but if they want to eat meat that's fine, to each their own.
I'm vegetarian and I wouldn't mind, just like you said, as long as they aren't an ass about it. I'm vegetarian and I never mention it or explain unless someone is cooking for me and needs to know, or they ask. Live and let live.
I agree with you. I wouldn't mind dating one as long as they are fine with me eating meat. It can go the same as religion. As long as they respect your beliefs, it's cool.
I would so long as he didn't try to change my eating habits and we could mutually understand each other's choices and reasoning for eating or not eating meat. But the moment he starts trying to change my preferences he's gone. If it bothers him that much that I won't become a vegan than he can go find someone else; it's as easy as that.
i dOn't think i cOuld cuz usually vegas make the decisiOn tO be vegan because of their wOrldly views && if i dOn't share thOse views later on dOwn the rOad it will be a tOpic of frustratiOn...it might nOt be wat i eat, but it will resurface...jus lyke i dOn't think i'd date an atheists...i might nOt mind nOw but later on dOwn the rOad if we have kids it will be an issue...but thats a cute game...

No, I won't date a Vegan. I have a few acquintances who are vegans. They always put me down or say mean things when I eat a hamburger. And the one girl I know who is vegan wears leather shoes. Figure that out.
No because we would have the hardest time finding a restaurant that serves a good selection of dishes that do not use animal products..and so on and so forth.
And I don't like to be lectured about what I can and can not eat.
i would, but i'd find it difficult. one thing about me is, even though it's small and tedious, i really don't like picky eaters. i know there are some thing you just don't like, but my mom is from Africa and she cooks cultural food. i'm used to eating odd things and a lot of meat. if a person didn't want to try new things or didn't want to eat certain foods i like, it would honestly frustrate me a little. my current bf is Filipino and i love the foods he loves and vice versa, so i got lucky there

I'm a vegetarian myself, so I wouldn't have a problem dating a vegan. I wouldn't have a problem with dating a guy who is neither, but he would have to like freshen up & make sure there's no pieces of meat left when we kiss, LOL.
I wouldnt mind as long as they dont try to put me down for eating meat. I think God knew what he was doing when everything was made. I'm for animal rights & I dont believe in unnecessary killing but sometimes I think some Vegans/Vegetarians are one sided with it. For people like me with anemia or getting vitamins & minerals, it's easier to get it from food because you can OD on pills because they can be rapidly absorbed into the body or you dont get all of them in one pill.
I also like quite a bit of vegetarian cuisine dishes. I love how creative they are & they're quite tasty. Kashi's Vegetarian pizza is awesome!
NO, NO, and NO! I'm dating a vegetarian and that's fucking hard enough!! Don't add more stress to my life! My life is cheese and meat and bad enough I can only share half of my life (cheese) with my heart's desire. If she went vegan, it would be over.
i'm a vegan! i date nonvegans all the time, doesn't bother me. i just know that when i settle down and get married, it'll have to be with a vegan.
Umm not sure...It depends. If the person would criticize what I eat all the time, then no. Never mind I really don't know. My boyfriend doesn't like sushi and that bothers me lol. All I want is a romantic sushi dinner!!!!
People complain about and mock our diets all the time... and really, I know some meat eaters who don't respect how I eat, and are just plain mean sometimes. So people shouldn't lable all vegans as horribe hipsters.
So yes I would date another vegan, but I would also date just about any guy who wasn't a complete ass.

Just a thought. Â Because from experience, vegans/vegetarians I know are a lot different types of people than people who eat meat. Â They usually have totally different views on how they see the world, and their goals in life and their interests, etc.
